Leading projects in the Middle East focused on several industries (including Public Sector, Oil and Gas, Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Electronics, and Automotive) to develop strategies, design improvement systems & processes, and generate bottom-line impact, to ensure growth.
Managing an area of 10 production lines (more than 200, 000 tons/year) in setting the strategy, plan and execution in order to ensure sustained high production efficiency whilst optimizing human, natural and other resources and to manage newly introduced projects in the area to ensure all the operation needs are achieved.
Driving day-to-day (production unit) operational performance, including KPIs for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and Nature.
Managing and developing a team of salaried and bargaining unit personnel (50 employees) to achieve the production plan and produce a high quality product.
Administering daily direction setting processes and managing line performance using the Danone Manufacturing Way DaMaWay (i.e. Line Tours, Downtime Tracking, Gap Analysis, Losses Tracking, CAPA tracking and Root Cause Analysis).
Creating appropriate action plans for daily KPI results and leading daily review meetings with peer groups and superiors.
Reviewing employee performance, recommending staffing requirements, assuring proper training and recommending disciplinary action of employees (ie, Disciplinary Action Reports, OPLs, SOPs).
Anticipating and overcoming production related problems, material shortages, equipment malfunctions and unavoidable delays where possible and plan to reduce their impact on the operation.
Leading efforts in maintaining the highest food safety standards on the packaging floor and recommending improvements as needed (i.e. CIP, HACCP, AIB, GMP).
In addition to the below mentioned Maintenance Management duties.
Responsible for leading four technical safety systems (Thermal Safety & Pressure Vessels, Machine Safety, PC&IS, Process Safety) in terms of D&C “Design and Construction” key element to control that new and existing systems are built according to the P&G standards and in terms of O&M “Operate & Maintain” key element to ensure that they are properly maintained and operated in a way which ensures their safety to people and business.
Achievements to date:
Machine safety:
• Managed ordering and accepting machines that comply with the company safety standards with all projects took place in that time.
• Led hazard assessments for all machines with concerned machines owners to the whole plant.
• Reviewed all the electrical safety circuits and ensured that they follow the company and global standards - done by 2011.
• Was in charge of inputs to any change or any new machine as part of the change management system.
• Increased the Category of all plant machines which led in implementing an Alternative Measures/methods which decreased the operation and maintenance interventions to the machines.
Thermal safety:
• Owned a system to ensure ordering and accepting thermal equipment to be designed as per the company codes.
• Carried out thermal safety studies for new thermal equipment (2 boilers and a huge duct burner).
• Reviewed the design and the electrical safety chain of the safeguards for the plant 5 thermal equipment.
• Led a system to inspect, test and maintain thermal equipment as per the company procedure and frequency, an outsourcing contract were put in place and a control and audit criteria were developed to ensure the effectiveness of tests and their out coming action plans.
• Carried out the thermal safety part of the start-up activities for 2 new boilers and a duct burner).
Process safety:
• Carried out process safety studies before introducing new systems i.e. ethanol and natural gas projects.
• Reviewed the design, calculations, set-point of the process safety items mounted on 1 boiler and a duct burner.
• Led a system to ensure inspecting, testing and maintaining the process safety items as per the company standards.
• Led HAZOP studies for ethanol unloading, SEA discharge and duct burner.
• Covered the input to the change management system regarding process safety.
Pressure Vessels:
• Led a system to order and accept PV as per the company accepted codes.
• Led a system to frequently inspect PV across the plant.

• Developed a system to ensure only using qualified welders and inspectors on the tasks they do.
• Developed a system to ensure testing all new welds by a qualified personnel.

Responsible for an Automatic Meter Reading System AMR across the country which calculates the gross and distributed electrical power from CEGCO to the National Electric Power Company NEPCO in real time data transferred via internet network.
Achievements to date:
• Progressed the project up to its final stage, the system was delivered to the operation department as per their needs.
• Developed a technical team to supervise the project installation and commissioning stages in parallel.
• Developed a commissioning, Qualification and Validation procedure for the project.
