Planning responsibilities,
•Validates and evaluates ICT Partners proposed solutions Huawei (E-band, long-haul Backbone solution)
Nokia (Touch Telco Cloud IP connectivity with airframe)
Cisco (service provider backbone upgrade solution)
•Prepares RFP, scope of work, RFP technical evaluation, TSSR evaluation and approval, BOQ handling
•Designs network architecture and prepare technical documentation and drawing schematics. (site files, IP Plan and connectivity matrix)
•Plans upgrades and replacement for Cisco IPBB Network components (IOSXR, IOSXE, ASR900, ASR9K, CRS, C6500)
•Plans the daily operation for Huawei IPBB network (Routers NE40Ex8, NE40Ex8A, and Switches S9300)
•Ensures backbone network stability and high availability
•Uses management and debugging tools to analyze problems and identify solutions (Nokia Dell SAS, Cisco EPNM, Huawei U2000, watch4NET, PRTG, Cacti)
Implementation Leads responsibilities
•Manages the implementation, maintenance, and operation of the organization’s telecom MP-BGP IPBB network infrastructure.
•Implements network configuration (Cisco/ Huawei) directly and alongside operational teams across Touch Network. (MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, VPNv4, L3VPN, VRRP, End-to-End QoS, Eth-Trunk/ E-Trunk)
•Establishes the network operation by programming features; establishing interfaces and integrations; following industry standards; managing subcontractors, integrating sites (2G, 3G, and LTE sites) and Core elements on the IPBB infrastructure.
•Works closely with vendors, escalating and handing off problems when necessary and provides proper documentation and communication at handoff points
•Improve bandwidth capacity by connecting backbone through DWDM fiber network and new MW links
•Attends meetings, conferences, task forces, committees, events, etc. to provide and receive updated information.
Work on Progress
•Segment Routing (SR-MPLS, SR-TE, SRv6) and IPv6 planning and testing phase with vendor
•Cloud, Virtualization and Automation solutions discussion
the Implementation, Commissioning and Operation for IP Backbone (MP-BGP network)
•Analyze IP Backbone problems and needs to determine the most appropriate means of reducing, eliminating and/or avoiding current and future problems.
•Participates and support in drafting bid specifications and requests for proposal and participates in the evaluation of vendor responses to establish contracts.
•Interacts with co-workers, vendors, subcontractors to obtain and disseminate information, advise on projects, resolve conflicts, set priorities, coordinate activities, complete projects within time and budget constraints, and provide assistance.
•Evaluates new products and services from vendors to determine applicability to hardware, software, networks and telecommunications systems in use.
•Documents network by recording configuration diagrams and programming
• Provides Technical support to Customer network
• Manages the implementation and commissioning for flexi packet solution (Outdoor and Indoor unit’s installation, 2+2 XPIC, LAG and LPG, MSP protection configuration)
• Integrates the Operator’s traffic to flexi packet solution (3G-2G, TDM, and IP traffic)
• Coordinates with planning team to prepare and implement IP, connectivity, and synchronization plan
• Finalizes the acceptance procedure with customer
• Leads transmission implementation team for Zain Iraq project
• Provides Technical Supports to customers Zain Iraq and Korek Operators (flexi packet solution, ADM equipment hiT 7080/7035, Flexi hopper and FIU MW equipment, flexi hybrid MW equipment and transmission management systems Net viewer and TNMS-core)
• Troubleshoots problems raised by Customer, management services, and implementation team, by analyzing data and creating technical queries and resolution
• Plans upgrades and replacement for Business Critical Network Components
• Coordinates with technical support teams and product line to provide solution to customer
• Finalizes acceptance with customer
• Coordinates with planning team for DCN, connectivity, and synchronization plan
• Manages the indoor/outdoor installation and commissioning of IP and transmission equipment (SDH/PDH microwave equipment, SRA 4, SRT 1F, OTN solution)
• Manages the installation and commissioning of multiplexer equipment (SURPASS hiT 70 series)
• Provides Technical and Emergency support to customer
