EMS (Express Mail Service) is a time sensitive courier service for documents and merchandise. This service is offered by about 200 global postal operators who are member of Universal Postal Union (UPU).
Responsible for business and operational planning to meet global service standards.
Interaction with EMS for setting up operational designs to meet product, service, support objectives in an evolving market.
Periodic review of regional business strategies- to ensure regional business units achieve sustained growth.
Interaction and engagement with global service partners for business growth and for resolution of issues having short & long term ramification.
Creation of IT and operational capacities, new products & markets, value added services etc.
Re-designed & re-engineered an express product for the six GCC countries in line with global distribution standards.
Prepared the business plan, mission & vision, value chains and core business strategies.
Created blue prints for the entire gamut of operations right from the point of sales to the point of service.
Designed process flows and IT interface between locations and between participating countries.
Interacted closely with marketing agency for creating promotional tools including campaign plan.
As a key member of the core group, contributed immensely in the setting up of the commercial bases of a newly launched Express & Logistics company in the U. A. E (and across globe) by presence and by service partners.
Instrumental in launching the Express division of Trade Wings Limited in the North Indian market. Created and established a robust network of Franchise/ Business partners across the region.
Successfully established a very strong business base for Airborne Express (USA based, Fortune 500 company, was bought over by DHL worldwide). Identified & appointed authorized business partners/ Franchise in North India.
Handled multiple locations for UPS- Elbee (UPS is a US based multinational company; Elbee Services Limited was their business partner in India) as profit center head. Successfully established the products and value added services in the assigned market.
Handled multiple assignments for the NECC group of companies at various locations and managed the business and operations successfully in the assigned territory/ branch/ area.
