● Responsible for leading projects related to all applications in Canadian University Dubai. Projects vary from onboarding new applications, decommissioning existing applications, migrations, integrations, and digital transformation.
● Developed a centralized team of subject matter experts on university wide ERP applications (SIS-CAMS, LMS-Moodle, Office365, Sharepoint Online, PowerBI, Microsoft Dynamics AX).
● Led the University transformation into digital learning during Covid-19 pandemic through all phases from product selection, vendor management, solution architecture, deployment and training all Faculty and students.
● Transformed many manual tasks to digital processes and introduced many automations across all departments.
● Managed developers on in-house application development projects.
● Introduced Sharepoint and deployed it as the University’s internal Document Management System.
● Introduced and built real-time dashboards and reports to the University that are accessible from any device. Enhancing quality of data by building Operational Dashboards in PowerBI that focuses on identifying issues with data.
● Act as the university’s representative with the MOE’s Center for Higher Education Data and Statistics(CHEDS).
● Meet regularly with senior managers, executive management and Deans of faculty to identify areas where technology can effectively enhance processes and quality of service to our students, faculty and staff.
● Architected CHEDS report automation that generates CHEDS framework report automatically from the databases that would reduce human errors and improve quality control.
● Developed a University application strategy to increase adoption of latest technologies in cloud and mobile computing.
● Maintain good communications with technology vendors and always receive presentations on latest offerings.
● Always attending conferences related to networking, hardware, software and security to keep up-to-date on latest technologies and trends and how it can affect our University’s IT strategy.
● Worked in collaboration with IT Director and vendors on all hardware projects such as Citrix VDI deployment, Hyperconverged Infrastructure appliance (Nutanix), Denyall Web Application Firewall, cloud storage, Disaster recovery, WAN fiber upgrade and telephony upgrade.
