1. Hadoop Data discovery layer.
Creation of a Hadoop data discovery platform alongside enterprise data warehouse EDW.
Data Discovery layer is conceptualized as a low cost efficient storage and retrieval system where data is dumped as is giving business analyst and data scientists’ opportunity to perform data mining and complex data discovery activity.
Key Task -
• Setting up Cloudera cluster
• Informatica data integration workflows for data extraction from Unix.
• Scoop workflows for data extraction from Teradata.
• SAS Hadoop libraries to extract data from SAS server.
• Data Federation layer using SAS Hadoop libraries for Hive and Impala and Teradata.

2. Multi-channel Customer Data Analysis
This project consist of multiple streams-
• Complaints data Analysis - Analyzed customer complaints data using SAS text miner. Aim was to find common issues, issues having high financial impact, Customer care response etc. This will help to improve banking operations and customer care processes.
• Customer Web chat Analysis- RBS customers connect with advisors using web chat to solve day to day banking issues. Aim was to perform a similar analysis as complaints to get insights. The recommendations are expected to complement results of complaints analysis to improve banking operations.
• ClickStream Data Analysis -This ongoing project is a further step in the analysis of customer data to create a complete picture of customer experience. New sources of data including clickstream, customer satisfaction score along with web chat and complaints data will be studied.
Key Tasks -
• Unstructured data load in HDFS.
• Transformation into tabular format using PIG.
• Creation of Hive Data warehouse using above data.
• Text analytics using SAS High Performance Text Miner.
• Further transformation using base SAS, Enterprise Guide Tools.
• Visualization using SAS Visual Analytics.

3. Credit Risk Model Improvement Program
Proof of Concept was performed using Hadoop and SAS High performance decision tree, Regression and Neural network nodes and predictive parameters were studied.
Key tasks -
• Credit data was loaded in HDFS
• Data transformation using PIG.
• HIVE tables on credit data.
• Predictive modeling using SAS E-miner.
Business Intelligence and Analytics
1. RBS, Relationship Management Platform (RMP MI) Feb 2013 - Jan 2014
RMP MI is a business intelligence platform tracking credit lending business and Relationship manager performance. A datamart is built over oracle database using Informatica for ETL. Analytical reports using OBIEE.
Key tasks involved creating data integration workflow using informatica, RPD and report development in OBIEE.

2. RBS, Country Risk Reporting Jan 2011 - Oct 2011
A subject area within credit risk platform calculating and reporting risk based on country. Six reports prepared around banking and trading book on Total committed exposure and facility limit exposure. ETL workflow and Reports were developed using Informatica and OBIEE.
Technologies - Informatica 8.6.1, Oracle 10g, UNIX, OBIEE 10g.
Worked on datawarehouse development project for a telecom major client in IPTV business area. Data from various streams was integrated using informatica in oracle database. The project involved extensive work on informatica workflows, shell scripting and databases. Main responsibilities included programming and supporting implementation.
