• Reviewing price comparison for each required item with the corresponding quotations from different suppliers, negotiating prices and payment terms to procure goods and services at best prices.
• Planning and processing import requirements, locating potential suppliers locally and globally, inquiring quotation of quality materials with best available price and payment terms.

• Planning and controlling inventory levels to ensure required stock availability to sales, also monitoring slow moving or obsolete stocks to push for sales and stock clearance within its shelf-life.
• Reviewed purchase requirements against the given production plan, raised PO and placed order to suppliers, and ensured quality materials received against given order.
• Located potential supplier, negotiated price/contracts, enquired quality materials, got new samples to ensure quality material before supplier selection, managed contracts and ensured suppliers long-term relationship.
• Troubleshooted vendor delivery issues and overseen return process. Refused acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items, audited supplier’s SOP along with QA in case of multiple rejection.
• Reviewed and managed age of stocks and derived productivity in damaged and expired, tracked slow-moving items and facilitate value-engineering initiatives at the supplier’s end to reduce cost of rejection of the material supplied.
• Reviewed production plan compliance and ensured RM/PM availability to prevent plant shutdown due to RM/PM stock-out.
• Controlled inventory levels and ensured that 100% turnover targets achieved in assigned commodities and within budget.
• Supported Central procurement with right positioning of stocks, forwarded PO to suppliers and got it acknowledged, followed and expedited orders delivery.
• Troubleshooted any delay in delivery at supplier’s end, escalated urgencies to seniors for immediate supporting action and advice.
• Ensured receipt of purchases as per the agreed terms & specifications, got the Invoice documents approved, dispatched to accounts and ensured timely release of vendor’s payments.
