SR. INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/FOREMAN Since 20THJanuary 2001 to 03rdAUGUST 2015
• Qatar Petroleum Natural Gas Process Unit at Misaeed (Qatar).
• Assigned as Sr.Instrument Technician in Natural Gas Liquefaction Process plant (NGL III, GSF and SRU Unit) Flare mitigation upgrading project since its commissioning and continued in the maintenance.
a) Monitored and Controlled the group of QP Instrument Technicians of the maintenance assigned for the project take over in all respect like testing and documentation till the project has been totally handed over by the EPC to the QP after Start Up of the NGL3, GSF and SRU unit.
b) Handled all the critical testing issues during start up of the plant like vibration system of rotary equipments as Boiler feed water pumps, Compressors, Turbines and Expanders etc.
c) Managed and monitored the Over speed trip system (OST) Test for the major rotary equipments as per discipline engineer instruction before start up of the plant.
d) Handled the rotation check and solo run test for the rotary equipments.
e) Managed and monitored the DCS and ESD logic check for all rotary and static equipment before start up of the individual equipment and the plant.
f) Build and maintained the close coordination with the maintenance planning department to categorize the field instruments and systems for their maintenance scheduling for their preventive maintenance and system back up as per the criticality of the field instruments and systems.
g) Conduct the daily and weekly safety meeting among the technicians in which the focal point is QP Safety, Health and Environment Manual and Material Safety Data Sheet to be discussed as per the daily and weekly job requirement.
h) Coordinate with the operation for the safe work permit and assigned the most knowledgeable technician for the specific job.
i) Help the technicians in the critical jobs like bypassing and normalizing from ESD or DCS system for the Preventive Maintenance or in any corrective maintenance if required.
j) Close the work permit after completion of job and operation satisfaction.
k) Assist the department engineer in the preparation of turnaround materials, man power and vendor requirement for the T/A scheduled activities.
