Working with Samsung C&T Corporation, Abudhabi U.A.E. on STEP Project, Deep Tunnel Sewer, DTS-01, in the capacity of Site Engineer.
I&M Works: Direct supervision and coordination with I&M subcontractor (EncardioRite) for scheduling, monitoring & installation of instruments (SS points, Inclinometers, Convergence, Extensometers, PZOT, PZVW, Crack Gauges, Tilt meter, BS points, Vibration mentoring, etc.). Preparation of weekly & monthly monitoring reports, pre-con survey reports, Bi-weekly presentation of I&M monitoring with CH2MHILL.
• Closely monitor site activities and coordinate with PMC in case of any technical issues.
• Ensure that test (Concrete, Soil, Asphalt, Aggregate) is carried out as per the standard test methods
• Applicable test of Concrete (Fresh and Harden Concrete) in line to specification.
• Soil, Rocks and Aggregate Testing.
• Engineering Classification of Soil.
• Detailed monitoring of field and lab testing of concrete, soil and asphalt.
Worked with EXOVA (Bodycote) Material Testing Services, Abu Dhabi, UAE (UK Based Largest International Independent Testing Group)
Job Responsibility:
• Over all Testing and Supervision of Concrete, Soil, Aggregates and Asphalt
• Establish smooth communication with Clients and Consultants to sort out the Technical issues if require.
Soil:
Classification of Soil Materials with International Standards and specifications. Able to perform tests including Particle distribution by Sieve analysis, MDD/OMC, CBR, Atterberg Limits, In-situ density test (sand replacement and nuclear).
Asphalt
Sampling and analysis of Asphalt mixes by checking the Sieve analysis, Binder Content and Marshall Properties. Controlling and checking the quality of laid Asphalt by field tests.
Aggregates:
Test includes Sampling, Sieve Analysis, Specific gravity and water absorption, Flakiness and Elongation Index, Aggregate Impact Value (AIV), Ten Percentage Fine Value (TFV), Soundness, Sand Equivalent test etc.
Concrete (Fresh and Hardened):
Concrete Mixes and quality control of concrete materials with fresh and hardened Concrete test like Slump test, Air content, Bleeding, Density, Compressive strength, Rapid Chloride Permeability Test(RCPT), Initial Surface Absorption Test (ISAT), Water Absorption and Water Permeability, Flexural Strength, Various types of Grout test.
Steel:
Knowledge in Bend Test, Tensile strength, Yield strength, Elongation, Coating thickness.
