BIM Team Leader

Undertake and supervise the development of BIM Standards and guidelines to achieve Company BIM Shift.

Responsible to proactively and reactively consult and engage with major customers across Europe and MEA
in the field of Engineering, Construction and BIM processes implementation through their construction projects.
Achievements:
• Contributed in achieving BIM assessment for the Capital District project in Abu Dhabi for AECOM to provide
recommendations of BIM models, BEP, workflows and infrastructure to improve BIM productivity.
• Assessment for the BIM Templates of AECOM-UAE based on their BIM Standard and BIM Execution
Plan to insure integrity across all disciplines to allow for a coordinated setup of their BIM projects.
• Solutions provider for major customers for their issues in terms of BIM authoring tools and interoperability.

Technical Project Engineer
Was responsible for coordination with the construction team, suggest design solutions to the site team when required and promoting the BIM methodology in coordination to enhance workflow and constructability.
Achievements:
• Assisted in creation of large BIM models and ran a multidisciplinary clash detection to insure quality of work.
• Design of steel structures such gabled truss towers, steel frames and saddles carrying heavy utility pipes.
• Followed up on site; resolved any discrepancies in design drawings by making the required changes.
• Provided structural design solutions for the site team to overcome their issues during construction stage.

►Holy Mosque Expansion Project-KSA:
• It considered one of the biggest construction projects in the world with a cost of $25 billion USD.
Structural BIM Engineer
Was responsible for deploying BIM knowledge to the structural staff and implementing BIM standards.
Achievements:
• Produced multi-disciplinary BIM model and drawings for various types of buildings using Revit Structure.
• Coordinated with other disciplines, performing all coordination and clash detections on BIM Models.
• Produced full set of shop drawings and BBS from BIM Models using AutoCAD Structural Detailing.
Projects Involved:
►Implementing BIM Standards for Zuhair Fayez Partnership:
• Assigned as a BIM advocate to develop understanding of BIM principles and spread BIM awareness.
• Assigned as a BIM leader within the structural team and reported to BIM manager to handle all BIM aspects.
• Saved amount of 200, 000 AED to the company by providing in-house tailored BIM training and support.
• Managed a team of engineers to create structural BIM standards (processes, templates, workflows, etc.).
• Conduct quality and validity checks on BIM models against company BIM protocols and standard.
• Produced BIM model according to AIA BIM Protocol (E202) Levels of Development (LOD 100 to 400).
• Developed a procedure to establish bidirectional link between Finite Elements Software and BIM software.

►Information Technology and Communication Complex (ITCC)-KSA:
• Composition: 4 towers and shopping centers, Owner: Public Pension Agency, costing US$685 million.
►Military Medial Complex (GDMW)-KSA:
• Composition: hospitals, pharmacies and clubs, Owner: General Directorate of Military Works (GDMW).
Structural Design Engineer
Was responsible for designing different concrete and steel structures, preparing structural deliverables.
Achievements:
• Produced finite element models for concrete and steel structures using SAP, ETABS and SAFE.
• Accomplished structural design according to related codes such as AISC 360-10, ACI 318-05, ASCE7-05 and IBC.
• Produced concrete and steel structural deliverable like drawings and details using AutoCAD.
• Reviewed shop drawings, bar bending list, comments from clients and follow up on different reviews.

►King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA)-KSA:
• Composition: security & administrative buildings, Owner: General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
►Makkah Head Quarter Project-KSA:
• Composition: 2 high rise buildings with car parking garage, Owner: Directorate of Civil Defense.
►Programming and Planning Building for (SANG)-KSA:
• Composition: underground shelter with protection against threats, Owner: KSA National Guard & U.S Army.
