Duties & responsibilities
•Monitoring contractor’s mechanical works to ensure compliance with specifications, plans and drawings.
•Review of method statements, ITP, shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
•Attending to RFI submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
•Performing material delivery inspections for all the Mechanical items used at site (HVAC, Fire Protection System, FM200, Foam System, Plumbing and conveying system (Elevator & Escalator), Irrigation & Drainage System, Street Lighting.
•Conducting site inspections including mechanical work, utilities, lighting, etc.
•Monitoring of smoke test conducted by contractor for HVAC ducts and hydrostatic pressure test for fire protection system in stations, tunnels, shafts.
•Witnessing NDT test for welding works.
•Provide accurate information and data to Engineer / Resident Engineer for inclusion in Progress Reports
•Review and verify corrective actions established from NCR’s and Discrepancy Reports
•Preparing the daily progress report (DPR) and Daily narrative Report (DNR).
•Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
•Carried out daily Quality and Safety inspection and observations sent to contractor for compliance.
•Report positive performances and negative safety practices to Resident engineer and HSE engineer.
•Full awareness of project specifications and requirements related to Mechanical works HVAC, Fire Protection System, FM200, Foam System, Plumbing and conveying system (Elevator & Escalator), Fuel Piping & Fuel Tanks, Irrigation & Drainage System, Street Lighting, Earthling Bonding
Duties & responsibilities:
•Carried out inspection of mechanical equipment like Pumps, Pipes, Vessels, Fuel Tanks, Fittings, Forged Materials, Castings, MDPE & HDPE pipes, Water Meter, Blower, NDT & DT tests, Piping Inspection, Welding Inspection etc.
•Carried out inspection as per QAP/ITP/Client Spec/PO/Data Sheet etc.
•Visual & Dimensional Inspection of Fabricated, Forged & Casting Items.
•Reviewed of Material Test Report & Manufacturer’s Internal Report.
•Witnessed of Mechanical Tests.
•Witnessed during Pneumatic Test & Hydro Test.
•Witnessed during UT, DPT, MPI
•Reviewed of Radiography Report & RT Film.
•Checked Stamped & Marking.
•Prepared Inspection Release note.
•Coordinated with Client for quality related issues
Duties & responsibilities:
•Performing various Quality Inspection - Heavy fabrication, Forged Materials, Pipes, Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Valves, Fasteners, Plates, Fittings, Castings, Forgings, Heavy & Medium Steel Structures, NDT & DT tests, Welding Inspection, Sand Blasting and Coating Inspection.
•Casting, forged Materials, Pipes, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchanger, Tanks, Valves, Fasteners, Plates, Fittings, Pressure Gauges, Heavy & Medium Steel Structures, Heavy fabrication, NDT & DT tests.
•Inspection as per QAP & BHEL Specification in various suppliers workplace.
•Visual & Dimensional Inspection of Fabricated, Forged & Casting Items.
•Review of Material Test Report & HT chart.
•Witness of Mechanical Tests.
•Witness during UT, DPT, MPI & PMI.
•Checking stamped & marking.
•Prepare Inspection Release note
• Making daily progress report
• Visual Inspection before welding, during welding and after welding
• Interpretation during DPT for Root welds and finish welds
• Inspection of Fit-Ups and release the same for welding

• Safe and correct excavation of pipe line on ROW
• Safe removal of coating
• Proper sand blasting, measuring of surface profile and pipe thickness
• Measurement of the pitting or other pipe defects and reporting to ‘EIC’
• Ensuring uniform priming of the surface

• Inspection of pipe for defects
• Measurement of thickness of coating on random basis
• Performing holiday test and adhesion test
• Ensuring sand filling to the required depth
• Inspection backfilling, removal of major stone pile out of cultivated field, making crown of the top soil.
• Welding inspection with Ultrasonic, Radiography, Magnetic particle and Penetrant Testing methods according to different codes and standards.
• Ensuring correct configuration and proper welding execution conforming to applicable.
• Ensure the compliance of all piping and welding construction and associated activities to client approved drawings and specifications, by inspecting, witnessing and monitoring.
• Responsible in the inspection, evaluation and acceptance of on-going and completed piping works both in the fabrication and installation.
• Witnessing Hydrostatic Test of Tanks, Pipes.
• Inspection of all fabricated parts, welded pipes, steel plates etc.
