Management of a portfolio of projects within the Dubai Creek Harbour master development under different stages of construction. The main duties achieved during the period of assignment are;

1. Monitoring the activities of all related parties associated with the delivery of projects such as lead consultant and cost consultant teams, delegating tasks and setting priorities in order to ensure completion within agreed time program, cost and quality.
2. Work side by side with other Emaar departments to ensure delivery stakeholder teams objectives are aligned with the Emaar overall goals.
3. Review and approval of contractors and consultants IPCs.
4. Review, evaluation, assessment, negotiation and recommendation of contractor’s and consultant’s requests for change in line with the company internal procedure and delegation of authority.
5. Processing, review, approval and issuing of Employer Instructions, Contract Price Adjustments, VOs as per the DOA for contractors and consultants.
6. Managing procurement of P.S and P.C rate items including review and issuing of tender documents, response to PTCs, propose and/or review value engineering, negotiating with the bidders and review of technical and commercial reports and recommendations for management approval prior to nomination of successful bidder to the contractor.
7. Review and commenting on Contractor’s progress reports to ensure false claims and issues raised are being responded.
8. Preparation of quarterly RERA progress reports and attending progress inspections.
9. Organizing weekly and on demand site walks with the contractor and consultant teams to monitor HSE, quality and progress and resolve issues on site to facilitate the progress of works.
10. Chairing main contractors weekly progress and commercial meetings. Attending and chairing other meetings such as quality, technical and HSE if required or should issues arise.
11. Facilitate review and approval process of contractor’s construction deliverables submittals by Emaar internal relevant departments such as ID, MEP, FM, CM, Group Security, PQA, Handing Over team …etc. by organizing meetings, review sessions, site inspections …etc. and issuing records to the stakeholders.

Senior Manager - Projects.

Dubai AM Portfolio: Dubai Asset Management is a development subsidiary under the Dubai Holding group. It is focused on long-term value creation through development, acquisition and management of a diverse portfolio of residential real estate assets for rent.

Management of a portfolio of projects under design, tendering and construction stages as per the following details:

Projects under Construction:

- Ghoroob Mirdif: 39 Townhouses, a nursery building, a retail building, 2 communal pools and gymnasiums, management office including all the associated infrastructure.

- Al Khail Gate Internal Plots: 3 residential bldg. G+5 (220 apartments)

​Projects under Design:

- Al Khail Gate External Plots: 4 residential buildings 2no. G+9/ 2 no. G+10 (354 apartments)

- Al Khail Gate Staff Accommodation: 8 staff accommodation buildings G+9 (2, 424 units)

The main duties achieved during the period of assignment are;

1. Participate in the Design review process and ensure achievement of complete design deliverables and timely review.
2. Participate in the tender process by preparing the scope of works for site supervision consultants main contractors, reviewing and collating the tender documents and ensure timely issuance of invitation to tender in line with the internal procedure of the company.
3. Participate in the commercial and technical evaluation of bids, post tender meetings, value engineering proposals and issuing recommendations to the client for award of packages.
4. Establishing and management of risk register, propose risk avoidance and mitigation.
5. Attending meetings and liaising with different local authorities on NOCs, permits and approvals.
6. Chairing Progress, Commercial, Safety and Quality meetings with the Consultants and Contractors and follow up on actions required by each party.
7. Implementation of QA/QC procedure.
8. Implementation of HSSE procedures.
9. Managing, review issuing responses to letters and other correspondences.
10. Review and issuing weekly and monthly progress reports to the Employer.

Hub Zero Close out of Vendors Final Accounts and Delivery of outstanding Services:

The main duties achieved during the period of assignment are;

1. Delivered several L&E attractions within the Hub Zero Family Entertainment Centre.
2. Delivered the outstanding services by Hub Zero vendors and close out of their final accounts.

Construction Project Manager of the La Mer Water Park project within Jumeirah Beach La Mer master development with a total budget of Circa AED 200 Million. Meraas L&E division is the developer the Water Park project within Meraas Projects La Mer Master Development.


La Mer Water Park: A high-end Water Park; nestled within a new forthcoming master Development located in Jumeirah Cove, Dubai. The La Mer Water Park is situated in a central man made beach peninsula. The on shore works for Water Park includes the design and build of several attractions targeting different age categories, associated structures, infrastructure and aquatic works, ticketing offices, retail and an upscale restaurant within the plots boundary.


The main duties achieved during the period of assignment are;

1. Participate in the Design review process and ensure achievement of complete design deliverables and timely review.
2. Establishing and management of risk register, propose risk avoidance and mitigation.
3. Attending meetings and liaising with different local authorities on NOCs, permits and approvals.
4. Chairing Meetings with Consultants and Contractors issuing Minutes of Meetings and follow up on targets.
5. Implementation of QA/QC procedure.
6. Implementation of HSSE procedures.
7. Managing, review issuing responses to letters and other correspondences.
8. Implementation of PM Web information management system in terms of construction documentation protocol and delegation.
9. Leading coordination with surrounding contractors and others stakeholders within the master development to facilitate different sites logistics requirements and align programmes and coordinate design/ drawings for main utilities connection and other infrastructure / external works required for project completion.
10. Review and issuing weekly and monthly progress reports to the Employer.

Construction Project Manager of the Meraas Leisure and Entertainment Projects within City Walk master development which is a portfolio consisting of three projects with a total budget of AED 450 Million. Meraas L&E division is the developer for numerous L&E facilities and attractions bolted on to Meraas Projects Master Developments.

The main components of the Meraas Leisure and Entertainment projects that were assigned to Samsung C&T within City Walk are:

Hub Zero: a gaming themed Family Entertainment Center (FEC) in the retail development known as “The Avenue”, Dubai. Hub Zero has a GFA of approximately 16, 000 sqm.
The FEC will include elements similar to an indoor theme park, a high-tech entertainment center, a party and hospitality venue, a hard-core gaming destination and themed dining concepts all combined into one offering.

The Green Planet: a science museum, has a GFA of approximately 4, 365 sqm.
Green Planet recreates the exotic, sensory experience of journeying through a lush and verdant rain forest.
The living planet has the characteristics of actual rainforest eco system and filled with educational opportunities for exploration and discovery.

Play Town: an attraction dedicated for toddlers/children with an approximately GFA 5, 000 sqm featuring HIT characters such as Barney, Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder, …etc.

The main duties achieved during the period of assignment are;

1. Participate in drafting Procurement Strategies and establishment of Master Programmes.
2. Establishing and management of risk register, propose risk avoidance and mitigation.
3. Attending meetings and liaising with different local authorities on NOCs, permits and approvals.

A planning Manager of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Headquarters project, valued at over 1.6 Billion AED, which has been designed to become a landmark and the highest tower in the UAE capital. The 75 story, 342m tower is also expected to work towards attaining a Gold Leed status. The client is Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Hill International is the PMC.

The main duties achieved during the period of assignment are;

1. Created and obtained approval on the baseline programme several revisions following the procurement of project specialist packages with all supporting documents including resources, weightage, narratives...etc.
2. Developed a system of periodical reports which covers all internal and external reports; daily, weekly and monthly.
3. Management and setup of the Weekly Progress & Planning meeting comprehensive progress summary document including project detailed progress for each package/phase based on weightage, contractual milestones status, technical deliverables statistical updates, consolidated procurement schedule update, manpower update, NOC’s, factory visits…etc.
4. Representing the company in the weekly progress and construction meetings and answering all clients queries related to planning.
5. Carried out several submissions of recovery schedules fully coordinated with subcontractors.
6. Carried out extensive coordination with all departments/subcontractors to obtain their realisation and ownership of their scope within the overall latest programme.
7. Finalization of several submissions of extension of time claims in prospective and retrospective manner and obtained ADNOC approval on 630 Calendar Days Extension of Time.
8. Managing a team of eight planners five of which belong to the subcontractors another three which belong to the main contractor (Six Construct), providing mentoring, training and overall supervision to ensure proper development of skills, techniques, knowledge and growth.
9. Provided technical support to the head office tendering department through involvement in technical proposals for new tenders.

A Planning Manager for the Midmac-Sixco Joint Venture of the Extension to Qatar National Convention Center project, valued in excess of 1.7 Billion QAR, managing a team of three planning engineers and one senior planner. The project consists of civil works, complex MEP, cutting edge finishes, in addition to external infrastructural works & landscaping, with Qatar Foundation (QF) as the owner represented by Qatar Petroleum (QP) as Client representative and KEO as the consultant. The project has a time frame of 19 months.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

1. Carried out and successfully achieved the client approval on the baseline schedule of a project with very complex nature with material quantities, man power and equipment resource loading in addition to the cost and weightage loading in accordance with QP requirements.
2. Created and maintained all the projects controls documents, such as; shop drawings, materials, and method statements logs and carried out several procurement coordination tasks.
3. Was in charge of maintaining all internal and external reports; daily, weekly and monthly up to date and standard.
4. Attending progress and planning meetings with the consultant/ client.
5. Chairing internal meetings within the JV team to explain the programme in simple layouts and presentations.
6. In addition to the above tasks, I was undertaking numerous other planning related tasks.

Successfully completed working on the Ferrari Experience Project, largest theme park in the world, valued in excess of Euro 153 million, AED 750 million.
1. Developed the programme of the Ferrari roof package that includes the space frame structure, aluminum cladding, façade glazing and all the related temporary works and revised it numerously throughout the project life cycle with all its related monitoring documents.
2. Defined the critical indicators which the programme was monitored against.
3. Setting up a reporting system that was used as a very powerful monitoring tool of the progress in which the data was extracted with ease to update the programme and to read the progress at any level of detail.
4. Following up the progress by creating and updating a large number of S-curves on daily, weekly, monthly basis whether generally or specifically to monitor each team’s productivity at any given time. These S-curves were split into 2 parts generally; official S-curves which are based on the planned and recovery programmes in addition to internally targeted high performance S-curves in which the productivity required is greater than that of the planned and recovery S-curves.
5. Following up with the subcontractors and suppliers on their technical deliverables and progress on site
6. Working side by side with the Managing Contractor, Al Dar Besix, to fulfill all their requirements in terms of reporting/planning related matters.
7. Progress presentations when and where required for clients on behalf of the project management
8. Handling communications pertaining to the planning works in the Ferrari Experience project.
All the above and more, added to the team’s effort achieved the successful and timely completion of the Ferrari Experience roof package project.
 Carried out programmes and created reporting systems for other projects and helped other junior planners to maintain these systems by communicating through periodical or demand based site visits to those projects and making sure that the systems are carried out correctly. An example is Al Gurm villas in Abu Dhabi, and Shahama Saadiyat Freeway infrastructure.
 Working with the tendering Department of Six Construct in creating the tender programmes.
 Managed all the planning related works of the company’s projects portfolio in Yas Island.

1. Retail bridges (a package of 20 bridges).
2. Civil and roof works of the two roller coaster buildings of the Ferrari Experience.

7. Ferrari Experience area development.
 Started the set up of a Planning Department for Yas Island Development projects with a team of 4 planners; this includes: training and development of the other team subordinates, ensuring all planning works are carried out correctly and as per time schedules, checking the interfaces between the various interrelated packages and ensuring that works could be executed without any conflict.

Beginning of 2007 was promoted to a Senior Planning Engineer, managing the planning department of JC Maclean International, which had four other planners, and being in charge before the management of the planning related works of all the running projects, as well as the projects under estimation with a special focus and involvement in projects with critical natures with respect to value or completion date.
Attending progress meetings at different projects and handling the clients’ issues of concern related to progress in addition to highlighting the areas of concern and demonstrating recovery measures to mitigate the delays.
Providing training for the newly hired planners.
Supervising the weekly / monthly updates of the baseline programmes and the preparation of the periodical internal/external detailed reports.
Issued a recovery programme, in the Shoreline Apartments project, which was presented by the management to Nakheel in the same level of the baseline with a narrative and its associated reports (complete action plan) which demonstrated to the client how JCMI could achieve the completion milestone without slipping. The same measures were taken in the case of the Zayed University project with Dubai Municipality.
Issuing the schedule of values reports which is a detailed cost breakdown based on the BOQ and the programme.
Following up with the construction manager and the site engineers on the progress to guarantee that they are executing the works as planned.
