Reports directly to the General Services Officer and Facility Manager and provides direct and
indirect supervision to 48 employees (from FSN-1 to FSN-6).
- MS analyzes section’s strengths and weaknesses and allocates resources accordingly.
- Plans and prepares layouts and scope of work documents for new construction and upgrade
projects.
- The Facilities Maintenance section consists of facility, utility, landscape and custodial
- Staff and numerous outside contractors and vendors,
- With 48 employees Facilities Maintenance is the largest section at post and has overall
responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and building systems of all USG
properties including the CGOB, CGR, all residential and functional STL and GOR. Housing:
- Anticipates, schedules, and directs the completion of all housing maintenance for 29 STL & 3
GOR residences.
- Directs responses to all residential requests for service. Supervises the acquisition of new
properties to ensure proper maintenance standards and coordinates necessary upgrades with
property owner, including generator installation. Maintains relationships with residential
contractors and sub-contractors to provide required services at competitive rates.
- Directs the maintenance of all functions relating to the CGOB daily operation including
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical (including UPS, generators and AVR), janitorial, landscape
- maintenance, painting, carpentry and recreation facilities.
Warehouse, Supply, Health & Safety.
- Coordinates with the Warehouse and Supply department to ensure an adequate inventory of parts
and supplies required to respond to maintenance requests. This includes the ordering of
specialized parts and materials unique to the Consulate General’s needs.
Acts as BPA caller.
- Responsible for the implementation of all safety standards and procedures according to SHEM
requirements.
- Conduct safety awareness training sessions with facilities staff on monthly basis or when
required.
Acts as Assistant POSHO.
- Construction and Maintenance Contracts:
- Coordinates all ConGen Lahore construction projects, which are numerous and on-going.
- Drafts the SOW for construction and Preventive Maintenance Contracts, participates in soliciting
the bids and selecting the contractor.
- Responsible of primary supervision of the project, acting as the contracting officer’s representative (COR) on facilities and Maintenance contracts.

Schedule and Implementation of weekly, Monthly and quarterly maintenance of TSS equipment and Delta barriers.
- Report directly to Electrical Manager.
- Study all technical drawings, documents and any revisions thereon.
- Supervise the construction in terms of proper method, material reservation and optimum output of labor.
- Give full and extensive instruction to his team.
- Execute the works according to the latest approved revision of drawings and or instruction of authorized authorities.
- Apply NEC and OBO codes and standards.
-Electrification & power layout & their implementation/installation load calculation its distribution.
-Earthing & its testing by earth test meter, cable continuity& insulation test by megger.
-Lightning protection.
-Supervising and managing all Electrical activities on construction site and manage to implement the work in given deadline.
-Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Equipment’s which include MV Paralleling Switch gear, AVRs, LV switchboards, Generator Sets, Load Banks, VFDs, Transformers etc.
-Prepare site progress (daily, weekly, and monthly).
-Operation maintenance and trouble shooting of 11.3mw substation (ht/lt).
-Implementation of shop drawings on site and incorporate all field changes into as-built drawings.
-Provide detailed take-offs based on contract drawing and specifications. Review and approval all material requisitions and preparation of submittals for OBO approval.
Electrical material as follows.
• Mv & lv power cables.
• Electrical materials take off i.e. used for temporary work in the project
• TSS cables for signal & audio systems.
• Control cables for BAS(building automation system), power monitoring system, Automatic fuel oil delivery system.
• Various kinds of lighting fixtures.
• PVC conduit & fittings.
• EMT (electric metallic tubing)& Rigid conduits & fittings.
-Carryout technical assessment for material and equipment’s being procured for the projects.
-Responsible to issue electrical co-ordination drawing.
-Maintenance of motor, pumps and their control circuit.
-Maintenance and trouble shooting of CCTV system.
-Maintenance and trouble shooting of HVAC system.
-Maintenance and trouble shooting of firefighting system.
-Supervise to install the lighting control system.
-Responsible to supervise & work on punch list items to make the building for final inspection for consultant & client.
-Installation, pre commissioning, commissioning and handing over of civil work in designated time of frame.
- Analyzing and resolving field problems.
-Attend regular meetings, project visits for work progress and quality control.
- To ensure Health and Safety conscious at the work place all the time.
-Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Report to management.
- Knowledge of local authority rules and regulations.
-Committed to DSI HSE requirements and all applicable legislations and contractual requirements affecting the HSE activities at project site and administrative offices.
