- Supervise contractor day to day mechanical/piping construction activities with safety in FWKO process trains and, aboveground piping spool fabrication & Erection, Static/Rotary equipment piping installation, Underground piping installation, Trunk and flex line installation, Structure pipe rack installation, Flow lines installation ( production, water injection) & Modification and upgrading, wellhead/modification piping fabrication and installation, equipment’s installation, welding activities, Painting, NDT co-ordination, Hydro test, Punch list, Reinstatement, Pre-commissioning & commissioning activities, MC walk down, HOD Dossier review & sign off until handover.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise multi-disciplined (Civil and E&I) project teams.
- Report day to day construction activities to construction manager/Delivery manager (BP ROO) and sent daily reports, weekly, monthly updates to project control team and keep records.
- Continuously monitor and coordination the contractor manpower, monthly look ahead planning, material and equipment's resources mobilization or shortages & report to construction manager.
- Ensure that mechanical construction contractors working within the discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, Specifications, ITP’s, Procedures, and Site Instructions.
- Responsible for Review and comments all technical documents such as method statements, risk assessments and job safety analysis, work method and design drawings.
- Supervise the Tie-in/Shutdown activities on site, with responsibility for several direct reports.
- Interface and coordinate with Field Engineering, project engineers and QA/QC to ensure that compilation of the construction related generated documentation and its timely transmittal and close out activities.
- Maintain daily activity report on HSE, progress, material status, quality issue and resources afforded to the work.
- Responsible for site material handling and preservation to facilitate construction progress and quality of materials.
- Participate and support in mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and turnover of plant facilities.
- Ensure that HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within the area of responsibility.
- Participate daily HSE meeting, tool box and daily job site walk down, hazard identification, hazard studies, ensure that HSE always within site as per Rumaila oil operating policy and procedure.
- Plan, manage and supervises execution of mechanical construction activity of CPF process trains from the construction of underground piping & above ground piping fabrication & erection, Modification & replacement work, structure pipe rack erection, equipment’s installation, Line walk down, Punch list, Hydro test, reinstatement, system walk down, Mechanical completion until MC Dossier handover to the company.
- Involving piping material coordination, and spool tracking, fit-up and welding activities.
- Review the IFC drawing prior to start work. Identity the design errors and raise the queries to the client.
- Verify the As- Built drawing when modification is required on the field.
- Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawing and the pipe supports details.
- Prepare daily reports of work progress report and man power at site.
- Conduct safety walk through in the site in co-ordination with the safety department on weekly basis.
- To attend daily/weekly progress meeting and generate status reports for the in-country focal point.
- Issue the work permits ensuring HSE requirements.
- Arrangement of material for use on site for smooth continuation of work.
- To be conversant with HSE plan, implement the HSE procedure ensuring the health and safety of personnel.
- Involved project construction of piping fabrication and erection, prepare punch list, Hydro test, Reinstatement, Pre commissioning activities of AG/UG process piping system for Hydro treater/Hydrogen units.
- Allocation of material, man power and equipment for daily work activities.
- Review and evaluate drawing on Plan, Isometric and P&ID’s for monitoring piping fabrication and erection.
- Supervise the preparation and prefabrication erection of piping work on site. Review fabrication of spools, pipe supports against the work plan on weekly basic.
- Responsible for mechanical completions (MC) of site work.
- Line Check to verify the use of correct material fittings, valves and supports prior to hydro test and prepare punch list prepare for incomplete work, check and close after the work is done.
- Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawing and the pipe supports details.
- To attend daily/weekly progress meeting and generate status reports for the in-country focal point.
- To be conversant with HS&E plan, implement the HS&E procedure ensuring the health and safety of personnel.
- Supervise of all piping, equipment’s and structure works and ensures safety and quality standards of the client.
- Prepare daily reports of work progress and man power utilization.
- Co-ordinate with engineering and QA/QC team to resolve technical issues.
- Responsible for general-on-site technical & engineering matters.
- Site execution works, specially piping, including resource planning & monitoring.
- Establishes and maintains timely completion of piping activities as per project schedule
- Preparing and Monitoring of Test Pack for Hydro testing of piping.
- Review all construction drawings and “as-built” drawings.
- Coordinate with client in resolving the engineering issues over the isometric drawing s, P & Ids, layouts, supports, line list, equipment and over the vendor drawing, documentation and updating of all engineering drawing & docs related with the project.
- Participating in weekly client meetings on progress and issues.
- Awareness of oil and gas related HSEQ safe working practices / procedures.
