Responsibilities: To lead & manage projects in accordance with defined structures or processes and to support the project team to meet agreed objectives & deadlines. To be accountable at any one point in time for multiple projects, typically 4-8 in volume.
Utilise departmental resources where required and keep Senior Project manager and customer appraised of progress and any surrounding issues. To facilitate the project using MS Project where required and assist with the identification of dependencies, milestones, issues & project risks, whilst maintaining a risk Action and dependency log when required.
To be the primary customer interface during the duration of a project providing regular checkpoint reports on progress.
To have a broad understanding of IT, Service Level Agreement's, PRINCE2 methodology and to liaise with 3rd Parties such as AVAYA, Openreach, and Cisco for engagement and completion of plans and projects in support of the main programme tasks.

Achievements: When resources were limited it was imperative to coordinate the successful simultaneous development of several projects with budgets of over £1m. Using customer change request forms as a baseline I was able to build the requirements for a project, organise the relevant third party equipment suppliers, liaise with design teams, customers, fellow 3rd party vendors, set timescales, delegate responsibility, manage and implement engineer resource and review proposals for costs. During this time I developed excellent time-keeping and organisational skills. I became better at planning and also improved my client relation skills whilst continually reviewing processes and applying lessons learnt to future projects. One of the most transferable skills that I developed were team-working and leadership skills, now I am more successful at working as part of a team with other people who have the same goal, helping them to reach their aims as well as mine.

Iron Mountain helps business organisations reduce costs & security risks associated with information protection and storage.
Responsibilities: My Role required me to support numerous projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, I was responsible for providing project support, scheduling meetings, updating project logs, updating and maintaining resource plans and taking meeting minutes. Other duties included raising orders for customers and distributing tenders.

Achievements: the role helped me to liaise with colleagues in different departments to ensure the monitoring & estimation procedures are adhered to, & support the implementation of the projects framework, to ensure projects are delivered against contracts and adhered to resource plans. The role also refined my ad-hoc reporting technique for which I provided to the team.

eg Solutions is an optimisation company specialising in two core areas. ‘eg operational intelligence’ software which provides historic, real-time & predictive reporting about factors affecting operational performance. The other area ‘eg operational management’ is a service that delivers an approach to actively manage work, people and processes.
Responsibilities: this role initially began with the primary responsibility of responding and troubleshooting all client related queries relating to the eg solutions software product of ‘eg work manager 4.95’. This quickly followed by being responsible for all Internal IT support issues within the whole organisation. This included maintaining the company’s servers and providing technical support to all co-workers and remote workers. Support was provided via both remote assistance means and in person.

Achievements: Aside from making me a better communicator and teaching me the importance of team-work, working here gave me the confidence and basic skills to take on more challenging roles, and be able to handle the pressure and responsibility that came with working for a large firm. It has also increased my awareness of financial and other constraints within which organisations operate in & has helped me further develop skills in planning and decision making within the working environment.
