As a Corrosion Engineer at Petrodar Operating Company, my responsibilities included collecting and analyzing project technical specifications issued by the Oil/Gas Company in accordance with International Standards. I continuously liaised with major material and equipment suppliers to stay updated on the latest technological developments. I defined anticorrosion strategies aimed at optimizing quality and costs, and transferred these strategies to the responsible disciplines, including CP (Cathodic Protection), painting, and coating design. I designed chemical treatments, conducted corrosion failure analysis, and performed chemical and water analyses to support project needs. Additionally, I managed laboratories and chemical products, ensured quality and safety in handling chemical substances, and oversaw environmental management to comply with relevant laws and regulations.
From 2012 to 2015, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. My coursework included Political Economy for Environmental Planners, Environmental Impact Assessment, Scientific Writing and Research Methodology, Environmental Dynamic Physical and Chemical Processes, Environmental Data Using GIS Software, Environmental Geology, Environmental Measuring and Monitoring, Water and Waste Handling, and Reduction of Wastewater Treatment Contribution to Global Warming. Additionally, I studied Environmental Aspects of Atmospheric, Aquatic, and Terrestrial Chemistry, and completed an Environmental Project Engineering course focused on biodiesel for transport. My master's thesis, titled "Evaluation of Jatropha as a Sustainable Energy Crop in Africa," earned 30 credits.
