Project Inspection Department (KPID) Duration January 2016- Present Key Responsibilities o Reviews both the Contractor's Design Management Plan against the Client's requirements o Reviews and approves design standards and checks for compliance with the contractual obligations o Design level reviews will include Preliminary Design and Final Design o Respond to the Contractors for design related queries and suggest recommendations for modifications or improvements to the design or specifications to bring it in line with MRDA's requirements. o Monitor design progress o Review and approve the design QA/QC procedures applied by the Contractors designer o Audit design procedures and offices for compliance with QA/QC procedures
o Review and approve Contractor's submittals (including as-built drawings and O&M manuals at completion) o Ensures that the design is complete and that all the required approvals and permissions by third parties are obtained o Ensures that the Contractor is compliant with all contract requirements related to Design o Support any valid applications to the competent authorities by Contractors for obtaining any required certifications and permission o Ensures that work is proceeding in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, approved materials and related documents. o Reviews Contractor's temporary structures to ensure safety and compliance with the project objectives. o Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management. o Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors. o Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests. o Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements. o Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. o Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions. o Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts. o Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions. o Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data. o Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Projects Handled 1. Jumeirah Island 416 Villas. 2. Discovery Gardens - Package ZEN -1, 17 Building Key Responsibilities o Supervised directly a workforce of about 350 workers, carpenters, masons, steel fixer and etc. including placing and allocating work. o Resolved day to day problems at site. o Responsible for timely execution and within budget o Planning programming and procurement of materials. o Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Controlling of foreman, Charge hands and subcontractors. o Supervision of execution of the work at site with quality Control and Assurance Liaison with Consultants and clients Municipality & Etisalat. o Preparing and submitting the weekly and monthly records of the staff to the superiors. o Checking out the materials as per the Standard specifications. o Preparing Bar Bending schedules and estimation of quantities. o Keep and maintain proper site records for site auditing & accounting
