computer simulations, or building prototypes
• Communicating with clients or supervisors to gather

• Providing support to engineering staff by answering
questions about specific topics or processes
• Identify issues and propose solutions
• Performing engineering calculations, including working with
computer aided design (CAD) tools to design products such as
buildings, bridges, or machinery
• Analyzing data to determine possible causes of problems
• Providing technical support for departments such as
accounting or human resources
