Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for sales & business development, procurement from entire East African market
including Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Kenya and
Tanzania.
• Review sales and buying price to ensure that deviations from the plan are highlighted and
corrective measures are taken when spot selling in International Market.
• Analyzing sales results and suggesting collective actions or new initiatives.
• Handling sales incentives program for partners.
• Support the development of retail network in combination with regional teams and partners
seek and deploy market specific initiative to deliver sustainable business value.
• Obtain and develop market intelligence and insights and disseminate across key holders.
• Develop and execute, together with the local sales teams and partners, channel sales
strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
• Identify and recruit new channel partners to expand market research and penetrations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners, providing support,
training, and resources as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to
ensure alignment and support for channel initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitors activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities
and threats in the market.
• Analyse sales data and performance metrics to track progress against targets and identify
areas of improvement.
• Set up an environment to become partner of choice for channel leaders.
• Liaise with credit controller to ensure all payments of accounts are received by the due dates.
• Understand market and end users need in conjunction with sales and marketing department,
distribution partners to develop, enhance and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Develop the timeliness for execution of aligned marketing plan and manage the full year
marketing calender within designated markets.
• Identifying the potential clients and closing the deals, making contracts and payments.
• Practicing CRM.
• Keeping a solid relationship with the government officials.
Job Responsibilities
*Building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business deals.
*Working closely with sales, marketing department and monitoring the financial performance of the sales branch against budgets.
*Protecting organization value by keeping information confidential.
*Manage the daily operations of sales branch section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed, comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
*Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
*Develop an effective customers' relationship to ensure company growth.
* Review Sales routes.
* Generate sales leads by adding new customers or open new sales routes.
* Follow up on the competitor’s activities and provide suggestions to team members.
*Make sure all customers database are accurately updated including (All registered customers & full details of competitors).
*Cascade all sales plans and initiatives to all team members accurately and smoothly.
*Ensure wastage control is exercised as per policies/procedures and is maintained within company target levels across product groups.
*Execute the approved payment and credit policies and ensure credit and collection management for all sales in the Area, ensuring timely payments within company guideline.
*Obtain and maintain knowledge of the sales and distribution channels and of competitors activity throughout the area, and share and discuss with the Export Manager for appropriate actions.
*Execute the agreements with Key Accounts, (Both National and Regional accounts) and maintain good business relationship.
*Manage the activities and work of subordinates and evaluate their performance by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets
*Manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account with international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
*Monitor, guide and motivate subordinates in their performance to achieve both sales and expenses targets.
*Recommend enhancements and improvements to departmental policies.
*Direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of sales branch activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services.
* Ensure information feed into systems accurately and in a timely manner
*Ensure and monitor quality control of sales processes, company standards and regulations.
*Training and coaching of sales employees.
*Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude
*Ensure all safety aspects are strictly followed with zero violation policy clearly applied.
*To lead a team to effectively achieve the sales targets in accordance with company policies, procedures and systems in respective geographic area and maintain a strong relationship with customers in an effort to ensure an accelerated growth while maximizing market opportunities,
routes efficiently in alignment with company procedures.
*Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates in order to ensure their continuous development
*Train own team in the field on Sales fundamentals and skills (Distribution, Coverage and Visibility) and update them periodically about company & Sales policies. Researching and networking to expand the distribution network into new territories.
