I worked with Ibn Khaldoon Engineering Consultants IKAM as Project Manager and Resident Engineer at various projects as follows:
1-Al Duqm Airport, located in Al Duqm /Oman; (value approx. 130 Million Riyal Omani)
The works include construction of Al Duqm Airport, the works of the Project split into Three Packages as follows:
-Package 1- Roads and Utilities; i.e. (construction of more than 50 km Airport exterior & interior Roads, Drainage, Culverts, Telecommunication, Irrigation, Fire water Network, Potable water Network, Pump station, Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP), Pump stations, HV Power supply, Street lighting, etc..
-Package 2- Airfield Infrastructure; i.e. (Construction of 4 km length /75m wide code F Runway, Taxiway, Apron/ Aircraft Stands, Airfield Paving (rigid & Flexible), Navigational Aids& MET systems, Fuel Storage and Hydrant System, Airfield Ground Lighting.
-Package 3- Terminal, Cargo and other ancillary buildings for Al Duqm Airport (project not yet started)
2-Holiday Inn Hotel at AL- Seeb, five star hotel, total build up area 18, 200 m², value RO13 Million.
The Holiday Inn Hotel building comprising of two basements, the lower basement houses staff car park and hotel's back of the house areas, the upper basement houses some of the main facilities such as swimming pool, the health center, and the all-daydining hall. The ground floor houses the main lobby, the specialty restaurant, and the meeting halls, the semi- attached office building which starts to shapeup at ground level as well.
The first, second, third and fourth floors house the guest rooms and their services.
3-Tilal Complex at Al-Khuwair, MULTI -FUNCTION PROJECT CONTAINS SHOPING MALLS, RESIDENTIAL & COMERCIAL BUILDING, ROADS, LANDSCAPES & CARPARKING), total built up area 227, 432m², value about RO 65 Million. The project is a mixed-use project, consists of two floors car parking and two floors of shopping malls plus seven residential and commercial buildings of five floors each.
Brief of my Duties & Responsibilities as follows:
-Reporting to the Client through the Project Management Consultant PMC
-Reporting to the Managing Director and the Operation Manager of the Consultant IKAM
-Reviewing and Analyzing Contractor Claims i.e Cost & Time extension
-Issuing Payment Certificates
-Reporting Monthly /Bi-weekly reports
-Reviewing Design shop drawings, Material Submittalls, Technical Submittals, etc..
-Chairing Progress/Technical Meetings and Reporing Minutes of Meetings
-Monitering Work Progress against Work Programm
-Monitering Contractor Performance against work Specifications and other Contract Documents
-Managing and administrating the consultant Staff of IKAM, etc..
