The MINUSMA-JMAC is an integrated structure that generates integrated analytical products to support mission decision making and enhance operational, strategic and contingency planning. It provides reliable analysis and develops assessments of cross-cutting issues and threats that may affect the implementation of the Mission's mandate. As Associate information Analyst, my duties include but not limited to:
Maintain contact with stakeholders, and partners, collect and gather data on events/ development pertaining the
Implementation of Mission mandate and its implication in Mopti region and Segou Region when appropriate.
Assist JMAC leadership in gathering information in support of the Mission Leadership Team, as required; Help identify areas for potential research and analysis. Collate, evaluate and provide short- or long-term analysis on developments/events affecting the implementation of Mission mandate, using sources such as Mission components (civilian, police, military\}, national military/civilian actors, NGOs, media and other key stakeholders; Gather and analyze information on local conflicts, land issues, local political developments, security environment, military developments, presence of foreign armed groups, cross-border illegal activities affecting the peace process; Gather in-depth specific information for JMAC on who-is-who of political, military, religious and civil society leaders in provinces and districts and input such information into the JMAC database; Maintain a system for classifying and storing confidential information; Interact constantly with key players on the local military and political environment; Participate in fact-finding and other missions to the field; Foster effective working relationships with other Mission components, and relevant external actors and organizations; Analyze and produce information on the political, socioeconomic and security situation, including political developments, inter-community conflict, elections, security climate, military developments, terrorism, banditry, trafficking and smuggling activities, police, gendarmerie, administrative authorities, and Compliant Armed Groups; including illegal cross-border activities and embargo violations that disrupt the peace process as well as humanitarian issues; Contribute to situational awareness by producing timely accurate and analytical reports and briefings that inform JMAC leadership; Maintain an understanding of the political, security, humanitarian, and human rights situation in the Mission area and region; conduct trend analysis and mid- to long-term predictive analysis; work with my colleagues to gather and verify information; and to select, confirm, and deliver the relevant information, with the appropriate political context, in a concise manner.
Upon my arrival, I launched the production of the JMAC Mopti Weekly Assessment reports as well as I contributed to JMAC Assessments reports in different topics such as Radicalization, Armed Groups, Terrorists armed Groups, Inter-community conflict, and political developments in the region. I solicited and gathered the relevant information from the colleagues and from various sources and established collaborative relationships with key partners. I participated in different field visits in the region in order to get close coordination to monitor the security, political, socioeconomic situations and to establish collaborative relationships and contact with key partners.

Chief Of MINUSTAH Police Operations Center- Reporting and Monitoring at United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti

By ensuring the overall management of Police Operations Center (POC) activities; my duties were to oversight and manage different teams of Monitoring, Reporting, Hotline/Radio, and supervise and evaluate the appraisal performance of 28 staffs, including (16 IPOs experts and12 Local Staffs). Also, as a part of my responsibility for several times, I assumed the interim of the Operations Section; supervising different units such as (Joint &Plan Operations Unit, Public Order Unit, Traffic and Circulation Unit, and SWAT Unit).
My duties included but not limited to :
Monitor the overall security situation, ensure common situational overview of operational activity; analysis trends of security incidents affecting the United Nations personnel and property, maintain continuous Information Management/sharing and contact with IPOs/FPU on ground and Joint Operations Center to analyze information on known/anticipated threats; follow up on events/incidents with local police and UNPOL IPO/FPU assigned to the field and to report their progress; enable the intervention of special police units through AVAILABLE VIA ZONE, directly or by decision of command.
To actively work for the collection, translation and formatting of information received from all MINUSTAH Police Units, Departments and Sections; Translate from French to English and synopsize all received reports from the departments and Police units within the mission; Drafting and editing police flash/Information report and daily situation Reports, operational and Strategic Reports; Collect additional information from mission components as required, to clarify and resolve conflicting reports, develop reports on analyses of security incidents. Maintain continuous information management/ sharing and contact with MOC, JOC, SOC, and JMAC in order to provide MINUSTAH components and DPKO, in real time, all the relevant information concerning the overall security situation in the country. To manage, compile and circulate the information with other components and the integrated MINUSTAH Operations Room-JOC- in order to centralize and analyze the information for operational and strategic management purposes.
I participated in the reform and development of the Haitian National Police by initiating/implementing a project of Joint
Operations Center (UNPOL- HNP) which aimed to reinforce the capacity of the local security forces in long term within different fields such ( Monitoring, Operations, Reporting, Statistic Center and Communications- Radio communications as well as Emergency line 114) in order to better coordinate a joint operational response mechanism with the Local Police, to ensure that Police forces and authorities function effectively and efficiently, to improve their Operational effectiveness and efficiency, and to ensure that authorities have effective police democratic oversight of the sector' functions.
As Crises Management member, I actively participated in ensuring the planning and the coordination of intervention and operational response mechanism with the local police as well as with the MINUTAH Police, Military, and security. Thereafter, follow up, and monitor the situation, update and re-circulate the information with all partners and actors within MINUSTAH components as well as DPKO.
I actively participated in monitoring several crises and tense situations and provided necessary actions and support during disaster natural, such as earthquake, hurricane and floods; as well as civil unrest such as violent demonstration; roadblock; and strike.
I acted as JOC focal point for Security & Escort assistance: my duties were to analyze, verify and process assistance requests coming not only from UN agencies, but also from many NGOs and the Haitian government about their security needs sending to Police component through JOC Plan Coordination. Also, plan and coordinate Security and Escorts of VIPs delegation/convoy; planning the security of IOM Operation;

Ensure a good HF liaison with different duty stations to ensure a good communication quality among the sectors and the HQ as well as amongst the police component. Orienting patrol duty towards the area of events according to their closer location.
Achievement: Ensured providing the police component and other stakeholder partners, including Mission component and DPKO, with specific information on police activities which affects the implementation of the Mission as well as the safety and security of UN National and International personnel and property.
