I am submitting the enclosed resume for consideration of the Health Club Manager position which appeared in the IHG website on January 5, 2011, you will see after reviewing enclosed resume, I am a recent graduate with a master degree that involves aspects of the leisure industry and sport management. I have several years experience in customer service, management and hospitality. I am comfortable using presentation software, databases and writing correspondence. I am also well practiced at keeping a professional and calm attitude while juggling the many issues that can arise in a busy work environment. Further, I am bilingual (English/Arabian) I have found this useful in working with an international clientele.
I have experience of playing a support role in many events, sport tournament and employees’ events that have taken place in the hotel where I used to work, and the recreation and spa where I am currently in charge and supervisor. This has given me the opportunity to work closely with top managers. The experience has also helped with my degree modules relating to sport management. I am now feeling I have gained a strong insight and working knowledge of what is involved in arranging a successful sport and leisure activates.
What is not covered in my resume is my love of sports. Having grown up in a sports-mad family I am used to both taking part in sport and being a spectator. I am a particular fan of javelin through, diving, swimming and squash.
There is more to me than sports, and hard work, however, and I would welcome the opportunity to interview with your selection team to discuss my skills and experience in relation to this role.

• Develop extra-curricular programs for students at all levels of P-12 Education providing additional breadth of experience for students and the community;
• Ensure program development meets the needs of all students and manage careful coordination with the curriculum to ensure that extra-curricular activities enhance the traditional school curriculum and teaching standards;
• Develop programs to expose students to the wider issues of the Emirate and use the activities to encourage stakeholder buy-in to the education system;
• Coordinate and provide support for inter-school activities and events, ensuring the events cover a range of education disciplines and give an opportunity for participation by students from all levels and all schools;
• Ensure the necessary equipment and facilities are available for extra-curricular activities including timetable space, and work with the appropriate members of the Support Services team to achieve this;
• Promote the concept of extra-curricular activities amongst students, parents and other stakeholders to ensure full buy-in to programs run and to encourage higher participation levels;
• Establish partnerships with vendors facilitating extra-curricular activities (sports venues, music academies etc);
• Monitor the effectiveness of extra-curricular activities and develop and refine programs according to student and teacher feedback;
• Ensure policy created allows for the successful implementation of extra-curricular activities into schools
• Ensure extra-curricular activities meet the needs of, and are accessible to, all students in the Emirate
• Create extra-curricular activities linked to vocational courses to encourage students to consider technical and professional education
• Coordinate the administrative requirements of extra-curricular programs in schools
• Propose the Project’s goals and KPIs for review and approval by the Section Manager;
• Propose annual budgetary requirements for the project (in coordination with Budgeting & Reporting Section) and coordinate its allocation within the Section on an ongoing basis.
• Prepare periodic performance reports for the Project for review by the Section Manager and input into the Division's Performance Report.
• Propose Operation manual book for the project as guideline for the Users.
