Lead the planning, mobilization, execution, and performance control of CRC Evans automatic welding operations for large-diameter cross-country oil and gas pipeline projects (30”-48”). Directed the ground team that successfully developed and qualified one of the first fully mechanized welding procedures in the region for open-root tie-in joints, establishing a major benchmark in productivity and weld integrity for field tie-ins of thick-walled pipelines.

Oversee full welding spread mobilization and technical setup including welding shacks, pay welders, internal and external lineup clamps, PFM systems, automatic cutting machines, welding booths, induction preheating systems, and integration of Miller Electric Smart Wire Feeder systems to enhance arc stability, deposition control, and weld consistency. Manage pipe alignment, fit-up control, welding parameter optimization, and daily production targets in strict compliance with approved WPS, ITPs, project specifications, and API 1104.

Possess strong technical proficiency across major welding processes including FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW (TIG), enabling effective supervision of both mechanized and manual welding activities across mainline and tie-in operations.

Serve as focal representative during trial welds, PQR demonstrations, and parameter refinement sessions before senior ADNOC personnel and third-party inspectors. Lead procedure qualification records (PQR), welder qualification tests, and repair procedure qualifications under Client and Contractor witness. Coordinate closely with QA/QC for mechanical testing, documentation approvals (WPS, MAR, DCA), NDT clearance, and repair control while monitoring productivity and repair rates to ensure schedule adherence.

Provide welder performance assessments, conduct toolbox talks to enhance quality and efficiency, prepare weld defect analysis reports, and collaborate with welding engineers for root cause identification and continuous improvement. Interface with planning, logistics, ROW, and client teams to maintain uninterrupted welding progress while ensuring strict HSE compliance and delivery within cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

Projects include major pipeline developments for ADNOC Gas (Estidama Sales Gas Network Enhancement - Packages 4, & 7), ADNOC Onshore WEP West-East Pipeline (48” - 110 km), and rehabilitation/integrity reinstatement of BAB & ASAB flowlines and trunklines (14”-20”).

Command daily operations at all the construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, adherence to timelines, and budgetary control. Lead a diverse team of 80 personnel, orchestrating project milestones and ensuring effective resource allocation, including materials, workforce, and equipment, to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments, aligning construction activities with company standards and regulatory requirements. Act as the principal liaison for client representatives, resolving concerns, delivering updates, and cultivating positive relationships. Streamline resource utilisation by reviewing and approving time sheets and invoices for hired vehicles and equipment, optimising cost-efficiency. • Directed the engineering team in the preparation and approval of technical documentation, drawings, and material requisitions for oil field facilities, including pipelines, transmission systems, and fire protection systems.

• Spearheaded field resumption projects, successfully reinstating 48 well heads and 10 oil gathering manifolds, alongside restoring power and operational capacity to the Mala Oil Field through the reinstallation of essential infrastructure.

As a Trainee Engineer while pursuing my bachelor’s degree, I gained hands-on experience in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, project specifications, and preparing Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for oil and gas projects. I analyzed mechanical, piping, and structural drawings to accurately identify required materials and quantify them for construction purposes. I also reviewed technical specifications to understand material grades, tolerances, codes, and project-specific requirements.
I was actively involved in the preparation of MTOs, which enhanced my understanding of procurement workflows and the importance of precise material estimation and tracking in maintaining project schedules and cost control. Working closely with senior engineers, I applied this knowledge to support accurate material planning and ensure compliance with project standards and technical requirements.
