- Comply with safety rules and regulations. Be familiar with the fire equipment in his area.
- Follow the instructions of the Shift Supervisor/Shift Charge Engineer and CCR Operator.
- Familiar with plant P&IDs, SOPs, Work instructions, basic control logic as well as the emergency operation procedures and any other related documents.
- Monitor all parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all activities/events that took place during his shift in the log book.
- Inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters are within limits. Report abnormalities to the CCR Operator.
- Perform equipment changeover according to preset schedules. Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
- Coordinate with CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor for isolating and lining up the equipment and system before and after maintenance. Maintain tidy housekeeping in the work area and ensure clean up after maintenance work.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Assist in the training and familiarization of new operators.
- Report near misses and implement prescribed risk controls.
- Report deviations in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
- Ensure proper waste disposal measures.
# Polymers EVA/LDPE & PEG
- Perform or assist in the start-up or shutdown of assigned plants and facilities according to approved operating procedures or instruction
- Conduct regular inspections and walk-throughs of plant facilities to ensure the plant is functioning efficiently.
-Spot malfunctions or symptoms and refer to the Shift Supervisor or
console operator.
- Maintain field instruments or local measurements in the log, and update checklists as required.
- Respond to emergency or upset conditions taking the necessary field
activities, such as flaring, blow down, isolation, diversion, switching with
close communication with the console operator or shift supervisor.
- Collect samples and perform process chemical and physical tests as required
• Support or Assist Shift supervisor if required and as instructed such as in the cases of:
Communication with other sections, Contractors, or vendors (Maintenance, Inspection, Contractor, chemical vendor, etc.) Issuing work permit (as per permission level approved by section head)
- Perform in-plant housekeeping duties.
- Provide appropriate technical advice to other field operators or share good and bad experiences with colleagues upon request to realize efficient and effective operations.
