Highlights
• To manage people in their respective shift.
• To ensure that the mechanical testing of rolled steels and non-routine steels are conducted as per the material specification / customer specification. Release of coils for dispatch and certification of the product.
• Provides adequate on job training for new Saudis.
• Accepting, Rejecting, up or downgrading material during or after production - inclusive of material being loaded for despatch to customers - which does not conform to relevant quality requirements.
• Organizing disposal of any Held/Non-Conforming material produced in any of the main production areas, involving releasing & segregation of product in SAP, re-inspection re-sampling for retesting as required, to maintain Log Books for each Rolling Mill area with full details of analysis, retesting and disposals.
• Maintaining the shift discipline and technician attendance, prepare their overtime and vacation schedules,
• Maintain a shift Log Book - outlining activities of Test House on an ongoing basis and detailing Personnel, Events, Problems, visitors coming in Test House and decisions made during respective shifts.
• Plan for the spare parts for all the machines and inform Test House SV for the Procurement of spares and consumables.
• Manage the non routine jobs and complaints.
• Manage the non routine jobs trials.
• Manage all the Test House equipment's & Machines maintenance and calibration.
• Making decisions regarding test house procedure & work instructions to change the ISO document.
• Communication with Steel Plant QC SV, Rolling Mill SV, Rolling Mill QC SV, Rolling Mill QC inspector and dispatch Shift SV for test results and material release status if required.
• Ensure implementation of ISO 17025 management system.
• To ensure customer complaint investigation and preventive action through laboratory and investigation team.
• Technical liaison with Sales and Marketing and Customers to respond to customer enquiries for special testing or test certificate.
