Tenaris is a well-known multinational manufacturer and supplier of tubular products mainly for the oil and gas industry. Tenaris has started in 1948 in Argentina. Tenaris’ primary products include casing, tubing, line pipe, and mechanical and structural pipes. Moreover, the company manufactures its own premium connections in addition to the regular connections. Additionally, been assigned to the production department, part of my responsibilities were the following:
1. Learn about casings, tubings and couplings, their types and applications.
2. Research different pipe's steel grades and what type of applications they used for.
3. Evaluate the effect of swaging and stress relieving operations on the hardness of seamless steel pipes during the production process of Tenaris' premium connections.
4. Investigate the link between the hardness of carbon steel pipes and the threading tool's life.
5. Study the threading tool's life profile and proposing new approaches to maximize the threading inserts's life.
6. Provide and implement new approaches to increase the threading tool's life..
7. Contribute in writing the work instruction (WI) for Tenaris' new threading plant in Dammam.
8. Got introduced to the API 5CT standards.
Majored in Mechanical Engineering, Team leader in a project based course ME218 "save the egg", Participated as one of the main presenters at the university's 45th Graduation Ceremony,represented the university in the Robots in Relief competition at the Student Professional Development Conference (SPDC) in Istanbul, Turkey 2015. Represented the university as part of the delegation in Singapore and Malaysia 2016.
