• Ensure that the Projects operate an appropriate and effective set of financial controls and ensure the overall integrity of the accounts (including CSRs, IBPP, reporting etc.) adhering to the Financial Policies Manual at all times
• Provide financial advice, and support for business development including financial modelling and will challenge business development activities in terms of alignment to business strategy, realism of opportunities and associated investment and the likelihood and level of financial returns versus risk
• Ensure that bids are based on the correct charging rates and have responsibility for the cash flow analysis provided in the RBA process. Review the bid from a financial perspective providing financial modelling, financial support and advice and challenge from a financial perspective
• In the CSR review take responsibility for all trading plans, challenge estimates to complete, support the decision making process and challenge the performance of contracts
• Create and challenge key IBP assumptions. Direct, coordinate and undertake the IBP process in the Project area and challenge and analyse inputs

- Providing timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis and assistance to the Naval project team.

- Preparing and financially mange the quarterly Contract Summary Reports (CSRs) for various projects together with agreed sales and margin trading plans in line with the internal reporting timetable

- Preparing the monthly financial forecast and budgeting of the key salients (order intake, sales, profit and cash)

- Attending, presenting and advising at monthly CSR reviews.

- Preparing accurate project forecasts ensuring that assumptions are back to back with BAE Systems as necessary.

- Supporting Finance Manager, Head of Finance, and Finance Director in all finance activity.

• Establishing, running and continually developing procedures, meeting and tasks that capture and produce the required financial data for Facilities Management function.
• Support & Challenge at all stages of project costings from IEP (Investment Expenditure Proposal) to closure ensuring that only relevant costs are transferred to the customer.
• Drive the development of a financially aware culture through continuous challenge of decisions and actions across the whole Facilities Management team.
• Manage a robust process to ensure the understanding of all Facilities Management related costs through control of the EAC file and posting journals of Labour recovery on a monthly basis.
• Budget tracking, including factors beyond finance.
• Manage and develop the relationship between the Facilities Management team, and the project accountant and wider Finance team.
• Provide and explain tailored financial summaries to Facilities Management lead and VP.

• Preparing the 4 week cash forecast to be submitted to FS Treasury on a weekly basis.

• Maintaining the IEP Register

• Assist in completion of monthly Balance Sheet Pack for IEP Contracts
• Prepare the monthly Progress Payment Assurenet Reconciliation, and clear any variances
• Assist in the quarterly preparation of the SSRs for BAESSA and support adherence to deadlines
• Assist in the preparation of the Consolidated CSR (Contract Summary Review) for certain contracts.

- Prepared and produced budget reports for each function and interfacing with key stakeholders such as budget holders from a non-finance background.
- Prepared the balance sheet reconciliations in Assurenet for review on a monthly basis, and escalating any issues to management where appropriate.
- Prepared manpower report accurately on a monthly basis.
- Prepared monthly accruals and prepayments such as holiday pay, bonus provision, and severance.
- Managed and prepared the Medical Insurance release calculations for the Tawuniya insurance in 2017.

Worked as a Project Accountant in SBDCP (The Saudi British Defence Cooperation Programme) for three contracts that BAE Systems have in Saudi Arabia. The LOA5 contract provides manpower support (approx 2300 employees) to the Royal Saudi Air Force, LOA13 is managing a directed procurement budget and LOA14 provides services and support to the Royal Saudi Naval Force.

My key responsibilities include:

• Invoicing, Sums Due, Sales and all Types of Journals (CARRM/Overhead, WIP and UCA).
• Prepared and actualised the quarterly Contract Status Reports (CSRs ) and SMTPs (Sales and Margin Trading Plans) for LOA14.
• Actualised the EAC (Estimate At Completion) file.
• Prepared monthly accruals and prepayments with supporting backup, maintaining the Journal log and ensure all the signed journals with backup are filed in order each month.
• Running different types of SAP reports (Commitment, Sales, Sums Due, etc.).
• Supported the Senior Project Accountant and the Finance manager in all finance activity.
