• Working in maintenance team and carrying out Preventive & Corrective Maintenance activities, for plant Instruments as per work order generated by system.
• Installs, commissions, maintains and repairs wide range of sophisticated instruments in the area of responsibility such as Distributed Control System(DCS), Emergency Shutdown system(ESD), Programmable logic controllers(PLC) based systems.
• Troubleshoot the online problems in instrument and control reported by operation.
• Allocate work to assigned technician; ensure availability of materials and follow-up to ensure satisfactory completion.
• Advise supervisor for necessary upgrade job to improve instrument reliability & availability.
• Generate and Complete Work Orders, Work Requests, Material Requests through SAP.
• Involved in FAT, SAT, Pre- commissioning and Commissioning for new projects and Tie ins.
• Prepares shutdown plan and material requirement for instrument and control system
• Involved in commissioning activities of Integrated Gas Development Project (IGD-HAP) Offshore facilities and AGFA project( TAE, ABK, Gas Cap)
• Provide technical assistance and support as required, to the Operations Team during process shut down and start up.
• Train newly joined Technicians and give full support for them to improve their skills and to achieve the requirements.
• Participates in emergency team and take active part in all training and performance of emergency team exercises.
• Complies with company’s rules and regulations with regard to work permit system.
• Handling the customer portfolio.
• Cross selling of products to customers and
developing the business.
• Cold Calling
• R & D in Multiphase Flow Metering using Gamma Ray Attenuation Technique.
• Setting up Instrumentation and Data Acquisition Systems for Testing, Experimentation etc. at various FCRI laboratories.
• Automation of Flow laboratories using Lab VIEW with NI and other Data Acquisition Modules.
• Calibration and Testing of various flow elements like Turbine flow meters, Mass flow meters, Venturimeters, Orifice plates, PD meters etc. and instruments like current and voltage transducers, Counters, Multimeters etc.
• Familiar with Electronic and Pneumatic Equipments, Analog and Digital Control systems, Transmitters, Control Valve and accessories, Relay based control systems, Methods and testing of instruments and installation.
• Experience in handling of Smart transmitters using HART Protocols.
