Direct and manage professional and technical staff engaged in performing the collection, examination and preservation of lab services.

Developed all the lab standards and procedures (such as lab safety requirement, instrument calibration standard, guidelines on acceptable deviation.Allocate personnel and other resources to specific work units or functions; write & sign Work Performance Evaluations.
Evaluate new techniques, procedures, programs, and instrumentation.
Maintaining test lab documentation (such as test lab descriptions, diagrams, and guidelines and procedures).
Develop and establish the lab Quality Assurance System (QAS).
Represent department in meetings; attend professional conferences; consult with others on the solution of problems.

Provide technical support to operation during commissioning and plant startup stage.

Develop and implement ISO 9000 plans and programs for company certification.
Maintaining test lab documentation (such as test lab descriptions, diagrams, and guidelines and procedures). Follow routine SQC for all equipment and tests.
Setting up an inventory control system.

Prepare grant and budget requests; administer operating budget; maintain and approve expenditures; prepare reports, correspondence and statistical data; review legislation.

Other duties included monitoring routine and specialized analysis for products - METHANOL, BUTANEDIOL, TETRAHYDROFURAN, MALEIC ANHYDRIDE, ACETIC ACID, VAM, CARBONMONOXIDE and Utility samples.
Methods involved - GC, ICP, AA (flame & furnace techniques), XRF, ION CHROMATOGRAPHY, SULPHUR & NITROGEN ANALYSER, TOC ANALYSER, HACH METHODS, KF and Wet Analytical techniques.
Basic principles for QUALITY CONTROL for the Laboratory including management techniques, evaluation of data and more.
Usage & Application of LIMS.

Duties performed were routine and special tests for WATER/WASTEWATER, BEVERAGES, SOIL, AND Oils, using the latest instrumental and wet analytical techniques.
ANALYSIS of WATER / WASTEWATER and Soil Analysis for irrigation and construction.
Followed and interpreted results and recommendations for treatment for water quality based on guidelines of the Saudi Min. of Health and Local Municipalities.
