- Evaluate and analyze candidate LOS reports and technical site surveys reports.
- Reviewing and approving microwave radio transmission design for WiMax/LTE network.
This includes studying link budget, system capacity and performance.
- Designing and planning IP’s/VLAN’s for L2/L3 network elements.
- Provide back-office support to field teams for efficient installation and integration of
microwave and WiMax/LTE elements.
- Coordinate with operation and maintenance engineers during microwave acceptance test.
- Perform operation, corrective, and preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of
Samsung radio access stations, microwave and optical transmission equipments for WiMax
wireless network.
- Commissioning and integration of Samsung WiMax radio access station.
Projects:
1. Siemens Waymax:
- Site Survey
- Installing and configuring WiMAX base station.
- Installing and configuring CPE.
- Configuring the switch to connect the CPE to the Local Network.
2. Samsung WiBro: Bayana't WiMAX solution for Saudi Arabia.
- RF site survey accompanied by Samsung RF engineer
- Site Commissioning
- RF test/ VSWR test
- Preliminary Site acceptance (PAT)
- Optimization.
3. Microwave Links:
a. Connecting Bayanat's Office to ISP's and Banks
- Microwave site survey (Feasibility and LOS Study)
- Design the MW links using Pathloss 4.
- Perform Installation, Maintenance, Testing & Commissioning of Microwave Equipment.
- Perform and supervise the alignment process.
- Perform troubleshooting.
- Vendors: NERA, DragonWave, Aperto
b. Connecting Samsung Wimax Base Stations to Bayanat's POP
- Control and monitor the Bayanat's Microwave Contractor to provide installation and maintenance.
- Ensure the field installation and maintenance activities are efficiently carried out and met the defined standard.
- Perform site acceptance test for microwave link, this includes checking the link budget, the antenna diameter, the feeders, labeling, .. etc.
4. Mina WiFi:
- Installing and configuring 70 access points on Mobily towers and shelters.
- Connecting the access point to Bayanat Network through fiber optics thought SNFN room in Mekkah.

- The Bachelor of Engineering degree program in Computer Engineering provided by LAU is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. - Students in the computer engineering program develop an in-depth knowledge of digital systems, computers, software, networks, and communications systems - The program emphasizes widely on communication courses as much as it does with computer courses (can be shown in academic transcript). In addition to the core topics in electrical and computer engineering, students are exposed to subjects including microprocessors, operating systems, computer architecture, database systems, networks, electronics, control systems, software engineering, reconfigurable computing, communications systems, and telecommunications. This provides for a balanced coverage and an integration of hardware, software, and communications engineering. As part of the academic program, six credits of professional experience are also included in the last summer prior to graduation, to give students an opportunity to integrate classroom instruction with practical work experience.
