Static Equipment Asset Integrity
Middle East Oil Refinery (MIDOR) - Alexandria free zone
Responsibilities:
-Determine the required inspection and maintenance strategy for static equipment in accordance with code and RBI requirement.
-Write and issue reports of the results of each inspection carried out personally.
-Carry out the inspection and testing of items of plant and equipment at the Refinery to the requirements of the Inspection Procedures
Attended shut downs in MIDOR Refinery :
-Two GRTA (General Refinery Turnaround) and performing all the required inspections for the static equipments to optimize the availability, reliability and service life for the equipments.
-Shutdown for the CDU/VDU for replacing Vacuum tower backing after inspecting it in process using the ISOSCAN technique. Also the shutdown included the inspection of all static equipments.
-Shutdown for the Hydro cracker unit for replacing the catalyst of the reactors and to recover problems in the fractionator’s products (of spec)
-Unplanned shut down for recovering the firing in the reformer heater of the hydrogen plant due to the failure of the outlet header system.
-Unplanned shut down for recovering the failure of the reactor effluent air cooler in the hydro cracker plant.
* assigned as the inspection representative for the following projects in MIDOR refinery
-Construction of new heater cell in Coker unit (Nov. 2009-Nov. 2010)
-Construction of 3 new tanks and associated piping network (Dec 2009 till now)
Follow up the construction activities as the owner representative for the 3 tanks and the piping network
Reviewed and accepted piping materials supplied by IMS Company in the company main warehouse located in Jabal Ali, Dubai, UAE
-Rehabilitation of the hydrocracking unit.(June 2009 - Oct. 2009)
Follow up as the owner representative the construction activities carried out by TECHNIP Italy main contractor and PETROJET (Subcontractor) and perform the equipment life time assessment according to code requirements
Responsible for the internal and external inspection activities and evaluation of results for the static equipment (vessels, towers, heaters, exchangers …) in the following process units:
1- Crude distillation (Capacity 400000 bbd)
2- Vacuum distillation unit
Determine the required inspection and maintenance strategy and plan all the activities for static equipment in accordance with code and RPI requirements.
Write and issue reports of the results of each inspection carried out personally.
Assess equipment reliability in accordance with applied tests and examinations and issue repair procedure if required.
Review welding procedure specification and procedure qualification records and perform welder qualification tests.
Follow up application of HSEQ procedures and ensure full awareness of HSEQ rules by all subordinators and contractors as work program
Carry out the inspection and testing of items of plant and equipment at the Refinery to the requirements of the Inspection Procedures
Carryout inspection and testing of new static equipment during fabrication and/or on completion as required.
Issue inspection work sheets for any repair activities required.
Responsibilities:
1- Apply the company preventive maintenance procedure for mixers and crushers.
2- Follow up the workshop activities and production in accordance to the company procedure and quality control plan.
3- Initiation of the new preventive maintenance software for mechanical department.
