I have started at the position of Finance Manager

Duties and responsibilities:
The company is Shell Petroleum Co. in UK. Shell Co. encompasses three leading activities (exploration of oils, chemicals, and lubricants) Shell is well known company all over the world with its activities, multinational work, high turnover and profits. In Jordan it is dealing with lubricants. The company in Jordan distributes products to a wide range of diverse
Customers across the country where it has a big market share not only in Jordan but also worldwide.

Among of my duties were: * Full responsibility and managing accounting and financial department.
* Upgrade accounting and financial computerization system to ensure its reality to the company needs.
* Vouchers, authorizations, costing, internal control.
* Preparing financial statements, cash flow and budgeting.
* Analysis KPI's deviations and recommend, implement weaknesses.
* Liaison with management to setup procedures to the clients and their credit limit.
* Liaison with a system company to upgrade the inventory system to reflect the company needs and monitoring stock and stock levels.
* Handling with governmental regulatory agencies (social security, income tax, customs law and customs tariff, companies law, general sales tax)
* Liaison with banks and relations, and preparing L/Cs, negotiating with banks for funding and banking facilities.
* Reporting to headquarters.
* Negotiations with income tax assessing officers about the company tax.


* Setup, develop strategies, management procedures, internal control, policies and business plan.
* Developing mission, vision and values of the company.
* Implementing BOD resolutions, and ensuring the best execution opportunities.
* Ensuring that stakeholders assets are safe and coordinating with them.
* Providing, implementing plans regarding investments capital budgeting, cash flow, and funding.
* Setup the goals, objectives of the business & looking for the growth of overall the company and business as well.
* Overseeing, approved all administration operations, and managing day-to-days operations.
* Evaluation of the growth of the business, and ensuring to achieve the goals.
* Preparing short and long term budget and monitoring KPI's variances.
* Preparing, managing and analyzing cost of the projects and the overall performance.
* Preparing feasibility study of new projects, identify SWOT and analyze all related reports, and study the opportunities for expansion the future growth of the company.
* Managing cash and ensuring the optimal investments of the company.
* Implementing procedures to develop the work and enhance productivity.
* Ensuring that IT is comply with company needs and ensuring that risk is minimized.
* Liaison with governmental agencies, banks and external auditors.
* Overseeing and analyzing the risk exposures and minimize it.
* Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
