Job Responsibilities:
• Major project which has been done is migrating database from 11g to 12c using GoldenGate
• Daily monitoring tasks such like backup and checking alertlog and free space
• Manage and administrate the database on Solaris Sparc servers for the HIS application
• Tuning and Improving performance using SQL developer to enhance queries execution time
• Integrate our core database with other applications such as finance and SMS to patients
• Creating clone using expdp / impdp tool from PROD on test server to be tested by developers
• Creating jobs using crontab to automate some tasks like reports and execution of actions
• Managing, maintaining and configuring SQL Server databases and processes
• Monitor system's health and performance on Windows 2012 server
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
• Database Backup and Recovery and maintaining capacity of disk space
• Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading to be used in PowerBI
• Maintain data integrity and Security and Authentication (manage roles and permissions of DB users)
- Installation and Configuration of Oracle 11g and Database Creation
- Online and offline backup and recovery strategies and planning
- Table space and Data file Management
- Creation of Users, Roles and granting privileges to users
- Granting System Privileges and Object Privileges
- Perform Physical and Logical Backups and Daily as well as Weekly check
- Cloning of Database
- Create, Alter and Drop of Roles, Profiles and modification of user accounts
- Creation of Schema objects
- Multiplexed controlfile & Redologfile
- Performed full backups, incremental Configured RMAN
- Implementation of Dataguard concepts for high availability solutions
- Replicated to a disaster recovery site for increased server manageability and availability.
- Implementing High Availability solutions using features like Real Application Clusters, Flashback, Oracle Streams and 10g Data Guard with Automatic Fail-over.
- Configure Oracle streams for data replication of transactional data.
- Using Oracle Streams to capture, propagate, and apply the transfer of data, transactions and events within managed databases.
- Implementation of RAC Real Application Cluster on SAN Box
- Familiar with RMAN scripts for Recovery using RMAN
• Installation and Configuration of Oracle and Database Creation.
