•To Design and develop engineering concept for mechanical services.
•To Evaluate work assignments and develop a master schedule for multiple projects to facilitate proper usage of limited resources.
•To design the complete HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Suppression System for the project following International Codes & Standards as required.
•To prepare the Design Basis Report and Design Calculations for proposed Mechanical Systems.
•To perform detailed heat load calculations for the building using Elite, HAP, Trace and Carrier block load program.
•To perform Hydraulic Calculations for Fire Sprinkler System using Elite program and to obtain the Demand Pressure & Demand Flow.
•To design & select the Fire Pumps, cold water pumps, hot water pumps & Chilled water pumps etc., as required.
•To prepare the HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Suppression Layout as per ASHRAE & NFPA requirements.
•To manage and monitor the quality of all the prepared work & Co-ordinate with team members.
•To Co-ordinate with all other disciplines.
•Responsible for delivering quality services for HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Suppression Systems.
•Responsible for providing recommendations to clients regarding systems that need replacement.
•Selection of machines like Fan coil units (FCU’S), Air Handling units (AHU’S), Chillers, Pumps based upon the Design Criteria.
•Pipe sizing for chilled water pipes in roof, riser and floor.
•Duct sizing for HVAC system using Velocity / Equal friction / Static regain method.
•Selection and proper distribution of Grilles, Diffusers and Registers.
•Calculating the Pump head.
•Preparing Bills of Materials.
•Attending appraisal meetings with the coordination team to clarify the disputes, if any & giving them suggestions.
•Prepare project specific specification and data sheets.
•Evaluate vendor data sheets specific to the requirements of projects.
•Coordinate with vendors/suppliers to get quotation and vendor data sheets specific to the project per standard specifications as designated by client.
