Project: Design & Build of Start-up Distribution Facility Centre (SUDC). Project Value: 60 Million SAR Client: The Red Sea Global (TRSG)
Key Deliverables:
• Provide overall technical support and leadership for construction activities, ensuring performance and quality are met to the highest standards.
• Manage, supervise, and coordinate construction contractor as well as the team, vendors, and subcontractors on project sites.
• Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and schedules.
• Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs that ensure compliance with contract
requirements and design specifications.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including, but not limited to submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and
change orders.
• Review and comments on design related aspects and construction plans and specifications, identifying and propose resolutions resolving design and construction issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain positive and strong relationships with client and all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and identifying potential issues.
• Assist with the planning and execution of construction related plans and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the construction function to deliver organisations vision and mission.
• Coordinate the various contractors to ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently in line with the strategic construction management plan, policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all the materials used and that work executed is in line with the contract requirements. Conduct daily site visits and resolve the sub contractors issues concerning work execution to fix them. Ensure that all safety and environmental planning is in place and that necessary measures are taken in order to avoid any accidents or incidents.
• Compare planned work versus work executed, make sure that all works are delivered on time and to the required quality. Report to PD if any areas of unsatisfactory performance and ensure appropriate action is taken by subcontractors to correct them.
• Proactively estimate and forecast required resources, based on the upcoming construction phase, number and
qualification of the workforce needed to avoid manpower shortage.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the departments systems, processes and practices considering international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and
productivity improvement.
• Manage the complete project execution process with respect to drawings, assess the material requirements, approve and submit the material requisition accurately so as to facilitate purchase of appropriate quantities of materials.
• Examine the project program and based on the schedules mentioned assess the material and manpower requirement for the job.
• Oversee the nomination of sub-contractors required for different jobs and submit to management for approval, ensuring capability and resource availability with them to complete the job & manage them effectively once they are nominated.
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management, define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders also develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contract, quality control/ safety provisions and perform cost estimating and value engineering.
• Liaise with the client and consultant on all issues pertaining to the drawings, project plan, schedules and problems for quick resolution of all issues.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, regularly monitor actual progress against the project plan and keep the client / senior management updated on the progress/ project milestones and deliverables, taking quick corrective action where required.
• Conduct random quality checks on works carried out to ensure that the products meet all specifications. Coordinate with the municipality agencies during spot checks on the site and ensure adherence to Quality, Health and Safety regulations on all assigned sites.
• Supervise the site regularly; attend to all technical and engineering problems, additional manpower requirements, drawing changes, etc. in an effective and timely manner thereby achieving project requirements and quality standards.
• Reviewed the project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimated costs and proactively drove the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
• Identified and confirmed availability of resources needed and assigned individual work responsibilities and planned ahead of schedule to ensure smooth execution of daily construction working tasks.
• Inspected and directed construction projects from conception to completion and prepared the site and networked with other construction professionals such as architects, buyers, estimators and surveyors.
• Coordinate with the client to understand the requirements and track the inventory on a daily basis and keep a record of the stock.
• Determine any potential difficulties and plan ahead to resolve them and make sure the work environment is safe and healthy for all workers and staff.

Key Deliverables
• Planned and procured the resources required for the construction in co-ordination with the planning as well as the execution team to meet the construction schedule requirements.
• Reviewed drawings at an early stage and prepared request for information to ensure queries were sorted out prior to works commencing on site.
• Ensured that contractors adhered to the standards and specifications in safety, work, and environmental policies / procedures and coordinated with corporate and government agencies for safety planning, work / outage planning.
• Ensured contract work scope matches invoicing and verified validity of contract change orders as necessary; inspected coordinated and developed engineering plans and specifications.
• Receive snag lists from consultants, arrange sub-contractors for various works, and monitor all jobs for timely completions and compliance to project specifications, inclusive of close out procedures as stipulated in ISO manual.
• Ensure timely attendance during defects liability period to ensure final completion certificate and subsequent release of retention guarantees etc.

Key Deliverables
• Ensure that all the activities being carried out at the site are in compliance with the specifications and as per the
approved drawings.
• Monitor construction work to include timely identification of needed support, equipment and logistics.
• Assisting the planning team in preparation of Daily Progress Report and maintaining the documents regarding the
progress of the project and participate in project review meetings.
• Monitored the issue of drawings as per the forecast dates mentioned in the TDR and identify any discrepancies and
brought it to the attention of the Lead Engineer and tool corrective actions wherever required in the case of missing data from either the client or vendor.
• Participated in inspection exercises to assess construction work compliance with quality, HSE and other contractual
requirements.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing a list of deliverables to the project plan (required deliverables from client to contractor, from contractor to subcontractor and vice versa and deliverables for internal use)
• Monitor the contractors submittal program to prevent delays to the work.
• Checked all dimensions of work to ensure conformance with the design and drawing and that they are within the tolerance limits.
• Constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical drawings associated with the construction of new data centres or the optimization of existing data centres.

• Work Inspection and Material request works to be carried out as per contractors request.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records and safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project. Prepare / Assist in the preparation of Weekly and Monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with the other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
• Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the building construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
• Builds a trusted relationship with the management team and with the clients counterpart staff. Establishes an
appropriate working relationship with the contractors.
• Ensure correctness and completeness of as-built drawings within his line of work.
• Provide all necessary on-site direction and assist the Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions with respect to construction works and associated items.
• Check and measure the performed work in his line of work record and assist the Resident Engineer to display progress vs. programmed work.
