Plan and supervise equipment planning (dispatching) activities to maximize their utilization
and productivity, considering commercial and operational factors and ensuring
compliance with safety and discipline, while adhering to port policies and procedures.
• Significant Accomplishments:
• Responsible for safety & discipline in the work area
• Ensure controllers identify equipment clashes in the 120 minutes horizon period.
• Ensure that the equipment planning staff properly allocates equipment’s as per the work
instructions provided by the vessel planning & the yard planning staff.
• Ensure equipment booking for imminent future is done.
• Ensure that the vessel departure data is accurate, and the vessel planner & the dispatcher
have carried out their assigned checks.
• Ensure that the controllers follow the system dispatch mode and not the manual dispatch.
• Ensure that the controllers are taking all the necessary steps to reduce /avoid the
equipment idle time.
• Ensure that the controllers are changing / maintaining the equipment ranges in real time
thereby keeping the job list distribution equal.
• Create efficient equipment pools to minimize distance traveled & queuing times.
• Ensure that the controllers anticipate traffic congestion and take necessary action to
redistribute the equipment’s in coordination with the vessel planning & the yard planning
Supervisor.
• Identify controllers with training needs and communicate the same to the superintendent.
• Arranging break for continue vessel and yard operation.
• Operators’ assignment according to workload.
• Staff booking for next shift.
• Proper follow up for breakdown equipment prior release for operation.
• Properly monitoring on overtime.
DPA - Dubai Ports Authority:
Designation: Yard planner/Vessel planning from 2004 t0 2018
• Managing Yard, distribution activity across yard location berth and control room.
• Control all Distribution Center functions according to DC standard operating procedure (s)
(SOPs).
• Monitor the quality, quantity, and efficiency of the movement of Container.
• Responsible on all assets & stocks present in Distribution Center.
• Allocate and manage staff resources according to needs
• Supervise the team of Distribution Center employees, including hiring, delegation,
train, performance evaluation, disciplinary action and termination.
• Control & manage the usage of Distribution Center assets & assess the need for moving
equipment like forklifts Rubber Tired Gantries.
• Ensure continuous improvement/training for all employees to exercise their work
efficiently
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
• Planning future capacity requirements.
Currently working in DPW JEEDAH-AS PLANNING SUPER VISOR from 2018 till date:
* Vessel planning site activity in bound and out bond.
* Crane’s assignment.
* Targeting Heavy hook.
* Maintaining etc as much as possible.
* Managing yard vessel and control room.
* Arranging break of equipment.
* Control overtime.
* Properly managing DG cargoes, direct delivery.
* Time to time checking mails and replying without delays to concern.
* All gate activity in and out solving issue.
* Following with RSGT terminal for shifting containers.
