• Preparation of tender documents for the refurbishment of clean room air conditioning plant, including distribution pipework, chiller, pumps, AHU and controls for the Space Science Department. Value of mechanical works £80k, managed interface between contractor, client and users.
• Evaluation of tender returns & technical submittals and appointment, supervision of contractors on site, issuing of permit to work, ensured installation went according to the specification & drawings. Ensured the contractors carried out the work in accordance with HSE & STFC safety codes.
• Reviewing contractor progress during the construction of a high specification research laboratory, checking risk assessments/method statements, resolving non compliance issues on site, total value of contract £21m.
• Design, tendering and co-ordination/supervision on site of various projects. that have included;
- refurbishment of offices, laboratories, and industrial warehouse types buildings
- new building, laboratories, test facilities, installations of chillers and air handling units
• Working within local instructions, CIBSE design guidance, British and European Standards, BSRIA commissioning literature and other industry best practice documents.
• Design and production of complete mechanical package for the construction of a reception building. Supervised contractors, reviewed Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
