My Role:
I am holding the position of a Senior Financial Accountant in the company and directly reporting to the Finance Manager and Chief Finance Officer. As a senior Financial Accountant, I am responsible for leading the accounting team and responsible for all day to day financial matters of the company.
My Main responsibilities:
Monthly finalization of accounts and reporting of statutory financial statement i.e. income statement, balance sheet &
cash flow the same to finance manager and CFO based on International financial reporting standards(IFRS).
Preparing divisional MIS of 16 divisions and reporting to the divisional manager and vice presidents on a monthly basis
including comparison with monthly budgeted and actual revenues and operating expenses.
Review and supervised the day-to-day work of accounting department staff.
Prepare and supervise the preparation of a variety of complex and special reports.
Experienced in SAP to prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, and extract reports to Management
Preparing Audit schedules for yearly & Support any documentation requested by the external auditor.
Handle prepaid expenses, accruals, deferred charges, and Fixed assets depreciation schedules and ensure recording
the figures on a monthly basis.
Preparation of annual operating budget and Capex budget in coordinating with other departments and ensuring the
realistic figure.
Review leave salary settlement voucher and final settlement voucher as per Kuwait Labor Law.
Analysis of internal operations and suggest a system to overcome internal weaknesses.
The review of the accuracy and reliability of the accounting records.
1. Reporting to the Partner/ Principal, team member of audits primarily involved in providing assurance services to corporate clients from different sectors which include Retail group, Telecommunication, Automobile groups, Investments, Construction, Real Estate and various other trading and Contracting companies.
2. Perform statutory audit including planning, execution and finalization of various organizations, quarterly reviews and understanding audit requirements for following quality procedures.
3. Obtain and evaluate the information about the business and its environment for identifying risk areas and analyzing the level of risk involved.
4. Evaluation of the deficiencies and effective solutions communicated through management letters and working with business owners to remediate them and to enhance the effectiveness and efficiencies of the existing systems.
5. Assistance to clients on accounting issues involving complex treatments relating to Financial Instruments under IFRS and financial reporting under IFRS and helping them to meet with increased regulatory demands.
6. Preparation of Financial statements based on International financial reporting standards.
7. Report on internal controls including systems evaluation, identification and reporting on internal control weaknesses for various internal procedures which includes sales procedure, purchase procedure, inventory control and various other control mechanisms and their rationalization with a view to highlight the shortcomings and implementing necessary recommendations for improvement.
8. Supervision and review of the work accomplished by the audit staff and reporting to the Senior Manager.
• Led audit teams which comprised 2 to 4 members including qualified and trainee staff.
• Assisted Senior Managers/ Partners in finalisation of audits, including issues related to audit to be presented to the management.
• Completion of work by assisting the team members for close out of specific areas and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and other statutory compliances.

• Review, preparation and compilation of the financial statements in accordance with the reporting frameworks comprising of IFRS and applicable local laws

• Interpretation of the financial statements, determining the adequacy and reasonableness of the assumptions used in the preparation of the forecasts provided by the audit clients to obtain evidence about the going concern assumptions .
