Working at the world’s biggest Aluminum Smelter Project at Ras Al Khair, a Joint Venture of MAA’DEN-KSA and Alcoa-USA, under the main EPCM contractor BECHTEL, USA as a Mechanical Engineer.

The responsibilities included:
 Developing new process concepts for production optimization and developing guidelines for the sequencing of manufacturing activities.
 Identifying and eliminating non-value added work while maintaining quality level as per targets given by the customers/given in the business plan and generating Poka-Yoke ideas.
 Planning and implementing technological changes to enhance efficiency and modifications in equipment, process flow, working practices, consumables, etc. for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced.
 Developing and implementing cost & energy saving techniques; ascertaining areas of improvement to recommend process modifications to achieve significant reduction in the O&M Expenditure and work within the budget.
 Implementing various techniques for cycle time/cost reduction, entailing identification of opportunities, analysis of data, conducting tests, cost-benefit analysis and implementation.

Materials management and Planning for Various T&A and shutdowns at various Saudi Aramco's Refineries & SABIC affiliates'scomplexes

The Responsibilities included:
Production:
 Supervising production related tasks including planning, control & troubleshooting for achieving production as per the planned periodic schedules and process control in Extrusion & Injection Moulding department.
 Attaining monthly production targets and tracking progress against targets by analyzing daily reports; minimizing performance bottlenecks for higher productivity with efficient utilization of 3M viz. Men, Material and Machine.

Quality Management Systems:

 Ensuring adherence to the quality standards as TQM, TPM, TPS Systems, JIT, Kaizen, Kanban System, 5'S Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.; overseeing implementation of various stages of workflow and procedures using quality tools.
 Taking stringent quality measures including preparation of necessary documents to ensure compliance with above standards & customer requirements.
 Impart training to the operators for maintaining Quality Standards & follow the Safety measures.

Operations & Maintenance

 Proactively identifying the areas of obstruction/breakdowns and taking steps to rectify all the equipments through process monitoring & defect analysis.
 Effectively coordinating & distributing tasks among workers with efficient manpower management; organizing daily work at shop floor and training programs/on-job trainings as per requirement and ensuring proper housekeeping to provide safe and hygienic working environment to all employees.
 Planning and effecting predictive & preventive maintenance schedules of various equipments to enhance the equipment reliability and diminishing the down time. Arranging, repairing and maintaining various production/maintenance tools as per the requirement.
