Project Role: Assistant Resident Engineer- ITS/ SCADA
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of field engineering assignments, analyses to ITS and SCADA submittals by Contractor’s.
• Responsible for the review of ITS/ SCADA technical submittals, ensure its incompliance with project’s design, specification (ITS, TCMS/SCADA) standards:
 Material Submittals,
 Shop Drawings,
 Method Statements,
 Inspection & Testing Plan,
 Functional System Design (FDS),
 SCADA Graphics,
 FAT/SAT procedures, test reports
 Testing & Commissioning
 Software’s (ITS & SCADA)
• Perform Inspections on the main contractor’s works on the material delivery, Installation of ITS system devices/components, including the installation of ITS Ducts/Manholes and other associated works on the project.
• Prepare site surveillances on the contractor site installations works. Record, maintain the surveillances log for further closing.
• Performs value engineering technique on the review of projects ITS software for monitoring of Roadway, Tunnel ITS devices.
• Maintain project installation reports on ITS works & Prepares monthly progress reports on ITS works towards client submission.
• Prepare for the audits required in accordance with the contract requirements & ensures that, the project quality control procedures are implemented in supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
• Work on contractor submitted “Testing & Commissioning” submittal to ensure that, the installed devices are fully tested, commissioned in compliance with client, project requirements.
• Receives and issues contractor’s Request for Inspection & testing works (RFIT’s) to relevant Inspector’s.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with MEP works, limited to PLC technical submittals, Inspection to witness the instrumentation cable termination wiring between MEP PLC & other MEP devices, testing of standalone PLC’s.
• Assists in the management and directs the team of Inspector’s for the supervision of the construction of the designs ITS works.
• Attend progress meetings, other technical workshops to resolves the contractor’s queries and implements solution to problems encountered.
• Review, the Inspector works on daily basis & solve, guide the inspector on all the site related queries.
• Ensure that, the contractor performed works is complying with the Approved Design, Construction Drawings, project QCS 2010/ITS/SCADA specification requirements.
• Assists in the preparation of construction work SNAG checklist/reports of the incomplete works.
