This company is active in telecommunication services that offer fixed line, mobile telephony and Internet services in Middle East. Reporting to the IT Manager & responsible for:
• The main Responsibilities include LAN & WAN Support.
• Administration of Network systems to ensure safe availability of services to authorized users.
• Configuring and troubleshooting on Switches (Cisco Catalyst 2950/2960-X/3750/4506).
• Configuration of Switches VLAN & Inter-VLAN Routing.
• Switch Configuration with Implementation of VLANS, VTP & STP.
• Routing protocols like RIP, IGRP and EIGRP, OSPF.
• Redistribution process of routing protocols.
• Workgroup, Domain, HSRP, VRRP, DHCP, Static, VLAN, STP, VTP, Ether Channel.
• WAN Technologies - Leased Line, Frame Relay circuits, .
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
• Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
• Giving network support by troubleshooting network devices and LAN related issues.
• Troubleshooting IP addressing issues & taking back-up of the configuration of switches.
• Active team member in planning and scheduling for deployment of network components.
This company, an IT service provider serving small and mid-size businesses by providing technical support, design and implementation services to their clients. Reporting to IT manager & responsible for:
• Main responsibility was to install, support and maintain server and computer systems.
• Administration of Active directory infrastructure.
• Involved in the installations, providing technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance of network equipment.
• Provide day-to-day assistance by installing and configuring new equipment on the network.
• Team player: planning, designing and installation of windows server 2008/2012 domain.
• Active directory management (creation/modification of users in active directory).
• Monitor system performance and verify that the peripherals are working properly.
• Applying Operating System updates and configuration changes.
• Quickly arrange repair or replacement in case of hardware failure.
• User administration - Adding/Deleting/Modifying user accounts, resetting passwords etc.

The modules I studied are: 1) Data and Internet Engineering 2) Digital Communications 3) Mobile and Wireless Communication 4) Telecommunication Security Academic Projects: • Masters Project on Blockage Effects in Cloud Radio Access Network using Stochastic Geometry: Various blockages like high rise buildings and other solid materials have their impact on signals in wireless medium. This project analysed the effects of these blockages on the propagating signal using stochastic geometry, a mathematical tool to analyze the cellular networks with random infrastructure • Master’s Group Project on Security Consolations – Wireless LAN & WiMAX: To analyze the security mechanism adopted to secure Wireless LAN at Coffee Republic Shops and recommend better security protocols to provide strong security for the coffee shop’s Wi-Fi.
