Project: Riyadh Metro, ANM Consortium

The project envisages the engineering and execution of Riyadh’s New Underground Line 3 (41.58 km), the longest line of the giant underground project of the Saudi Arabian capital. Package value is about 3.720 billion Euro


Key Responsibilities:
• Leading and supervising procurement of all direct & indirect materials, capital items, subcontracts, service contracts and import orders
• Procurement planning, strategizing & meeting the deadlines with quality standards for the long term committed supply base
• Studying contracts’ BOQ, Prices, specification and drawings to create architectural and civil packages to issue a request for quotation
• Submitting vendor’s documents, samples and compliance statement for consultant approval
• Analysing all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers which are able to deliver high quality products at competitive prices
• Negotiating with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality to obtain the maximum benefit for the company
• Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets
• Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions
• Coordinate with Cost Control Department for an execution within the budget and maintain any deviation in cost
• Meeting LEED v4 BD+C silver certification requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting of lead manager for planning and technical engineering studies
• Ensuring the project is executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner
• Preparing technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management
• Assisting in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned tasks
• Supporting and promoting the implementation of the project safety, security and quality plans
• Setting up proper WBS and CBS, and producing a cash flow report
• Participating into value engineering sessions to optimize cost and achieve balance between functions and cost
Key Achievements:
• Awarded “Employee of the Month” for outstanding achievements above all other employees who joined us in the same time. The evaluation was based on overall performance, quality and attendance
• Being a member of a team who managed a $200m projects and achieved scheduled goals. KAFD and ITCC Projects are the most ambitious and distinguished projects existing in Saudi Arabia
• After a year, I was appointed as an acting construction manager for three months and showed high democratic management and leadership skills. The position was a challenge to deal with more responsibilities and to master new procedures
• Represented the company at the 3rd Annual Façade Design & Engineering exhibit in Saudi Arabia after nine months of joining it. It was a rich opportunity to meet face to face with key people in the industry, with customers, decision makers and even competitors to deliver the marketing message that we came for
