Provide vision and leadership for all technology systems, operations and projects spanning
across 10 companies in manufacturing, transportation and retail industries. Managed the
implementation of new ERP systems, reorganized the entire department, developed and
implemented short-and long-term organizational strategies while changing its culture, mission
and strategic alignment.

Technology and Staff Leadership
• Brought in highly skilled ERP Managers, who were able to quickly understand and fit into the
organizational culture.
o Initiated department annual goals, established measurable performance goals and
conducted quarterly and annual reviews.
• Successfully grew the IT Infrastructure from 2 servers to 8 servers, 500 PC’s, 12 WAN
branches countrywide, 3 WAN offices outside Tanzania, all country wide offices were
connected over MPLS, and Microwave Wireless network links and VPN IP Sec to all beyond
border sites.
• Reduced the overall IT Assets Inventory within the group companies by introducing file and
resource sharing that led to decreased operational costs by 43%.
• Improved the network uptime by introducing Manage Engine OP Manager Software that led
to provisioning of proactive and actionable server/network downtime alerts.
• Successfully migrated a legacy email system to a more robust and cost effective platform,
ultimately this boosted productivity by almost 60%.
• Successfully migrated from the old analog telephone system to VoIP enabled
communications, this also boosted productivity by almost 50%.
• Introduced and implemented the Managed Engine Service Desk Plus, that led to effective
service delivery for the end users. The time between calls logged and attended reduced
significantly averaging 30 minutes per call.

Cost Saving & Management
• Successfully built an internal SAP B1 team, which gradually reduced the involvement of third
party consultants. In 2015, the development costs saved were close to $300, 000.
• Successfully migrated the core ERP system (SAP B1) from cloud hosting to an in-house data
center reducing the bandwidth requirement for Internet connectivity. Ultimately, this reduced
Internet costs by 45% month on month.
• Reduction of CAPEX costs by migrating most of the physical Windows servers to a virtualized
environment. This greatly reduced the data center power usage costs by almost 40%.
• Reduced the calling costs by 80% between local branch offices and international offices by
extending functionality of the VoIP system.
• Decreased the stationary and related printing costs by 56% upon introduction and
implementation of the File Director Document Management System.
• Developed and implemented policies for long-term strategic management of software and
technology related to hardware within the organization. This included planning, monitoring
and recording software licenses and hardware assets to ensure compliance.
• Increased responsiveness and adherence to SLA terms with Service Desk operations using
ITIL standards and escalation models; added ticketing and reporting systems creating 40%
drop in recurring issues.
• Decreased the business risks by 24% after auditing the business processes and introducing
an IT Risk and Governance Framework.
• Headed the ISO 9001:2008 Certification and Audit within the ICT Department resulting in
detailed documentation of ICT Policies and Procedures.

Enterprise Security Strategy
•Transformed the security focus and strategized to shift to cross-enterprise accountability, making possible to achieve holistic-risk mitigation priority as security was now a shared responsibility.
•Implemented a future-focused security strategy where all projects would not only achieve functionality but security should be considered parallel to the commencement of any project.
•Rolled out a comprehensive asset protection strategy to safeguard human, physical and technological assets.
