Role: Commercial Lead QS & Contract administrator
Duties:
• Commercial Lead QS leading a team of 6-8 Quantity Surveyors, managing quantity surveying aspects & Contract administrator handling commercial, contracts, financial accounts, etc.
• Evaluating tenders and negotiating with suppliers and vendors and Awarding Subcontract.
• Formation of contract, preparing RFP packages, ITT, various forms, and preambles.
• Performing Contracts Administration including drafting of contractual notices, pricing and negotiating Change Order Works, Extensions of Time, and other claims.
• Overseeing procurement of subcontractor and supplier agreements, within budget and in compliance with contract.
• Preparing tender documents and bill of quantities for variation and getting approval from Client.

2. Riyadh Metro project Line-1 & 2 Project, KSA (Jan-2017 to Jul-2021)
Roles: Quantity Surveyor, Billing Engineer/QA
Estimating Quantities from drawings, verification with site & doing rate analysis of Construction items.
Preparing BOQ from lump sum contract and dividing into separate work packages.
Tendering, evaluation and awarding of Subcontracts in distinct packages. Negotiating and appointing preferred Subcontractor. Finalizing suitable type of Subcontract (Item rate, Lumpsum, cost plus fee/percentage, etc.) according to type of work package and quantum of work.
Ensuring bank guarantee against Mobilization advance from Subcontractors, performance bonds, Security deposits for tendering, and bonds against time over-run, DLP.
Reviewing the Subcontractor payment application, final statement and ensure that contractors complete all obligations before issuing payment/final certificate.
Assessment of Quantities and providing data for Procurement of Materials. Initiating purchase order request from site and getting approval from HQ.
Coordination with various departments such as Design, Procurement, Accounts, HQ, Regional office for ensuring material available for construction works.
Quality and cost checking on finished works.
Preparing documents for variation/change order and getting approval from Engineer.
Preparing billing documents and RFIs & ITP and obtaining approvals from client for invoicing.
Monitoring on cost budget of project. Preparing monthly JCR including cost incurred in each BOQ item against provision available and allocating balance cost accordingly.
Site inspections and work progress in conformity to technical specifications and references.
Reviewing additional claims and variation order submitted by Subcontractors and managing according to Contract requirements/drawings.
Ensure that full documentation and records are maintained to substantiate all Interim and Final Payments to the contractors are maintained to a standard contract practice and as per Client’s requirement.
Obtain quotation for Suppliers and Subcontractors, negotiation and comparison for awarding contract.
Identifying cost overrun and reporting to Client/Management.

Role: Quantity Surveyor & Site Engineer
Duties:
• Preparing Work Breakdown Structure, Bar Bending Schedule.
• Quantity take-off from approved IFC/GFC drawing, visiting sites and verifying quantities.
• Initial site surveys, site establishments, land acquisition and take over from client, etc.
• Consulting with various local government bodies for statutory compliances, power & water supply, quarry approval for earthwork, quarry rehabilitation, environmental approval, etc.
• Land demarcation, land clearance, survey, and geological investigations and earthwork.
• Preparation of Bar Bending schedule for Bridge work, precast units, etc.
• Supervising concreting activities, reinforcement & shutter erections.

• Taking executed quantities from site and approved RFI/ billing docs and getting approval from consultant according to Item-rate BOQ.
• Updating bill of quantities after approved Monthly interim payment certificate to get actual project status.
• Coordinating ballast production from Quarry, arranging transportation, verifying lead and supply of concrete sleepers, production and installation.
• Preparation & Monitoring of Project Construction program using Primavera P6 (8.3), MSP (2010), MS Excel.
• Preparing Rate analysis in LMP format and getting approval from Project Manager.
• Raising plant hire request in company SAP portal and verifying subcontractors’ bills.
• Providing data to Manager where quantities given item-rate contract is exceeded.
