I worked as a Planning Engineer at Lamar Holding Company on a 69/13.8 kV substation project. My main work was planning and scheduling project activities. I prepared the baseline schedule, updated revised schedules, and created recovery plans when there were delays. I handled different project works such as cable tray installation, SCADA system, and LV and MV electrical works. I prepared daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports (DPR, WPR, MPR) and monitored site progress regularly. I was also involved in EOT (Extension of Time) claims and supported delay analysis. I prepared mitigation plans to reduce delays and improve project performance. I worked closely with the site team to ensure work was completed as per schedule and project requirements.

During my work, I handled different construction and infrastructure projects. I prepared baseline schedules with resources and cost for projects like hotels, airport facilities, buildings, substations, irrigation networks, marina, and golf clubhouse. I planned and scheduled many project packages at the same time.
I prepared recovery plans and mitigation plans to manage delays and improve progress. I also updated schedules based on project changes. I did Earned Value Analysis (EVM), delay analysis, and risk checks to keep the project on time and within budget.
I worked on EOT claims using methods like Window Analysis and Time Impact Analysis (TIA). I handled multiple projects together and tracked progress regularly. I used Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, and MS Office for planning, reporting, and monitoring project performance.

I prepared and managed a detailed baseline schedule with more than 5, 000 activities for the King Abdulaziz Road Housing Project in Madinah, which included 462 buildings. I created resource- and cost-loaded schedules by assigning quantities, unit rates, and total costs. I also prepared S-curves to track project progress and performance.
I regularly updated key project indicators (KPIs) based on site progress and shared reports with stakeholders. I prepared recovery schedules to manage delays and ensure the project met important milestones and contract requirements.
The project included 7 zones covering residential buildings, utility buildings, infrastructure works, landscaping, and all stages from construction to testing and commissioning.

I worked as an Assistant Planner and Scheduler at Precon Construction in Hyderabad, India. My main responsibility was to support planning, scheduling, and project control activities for construction projects. I played an important role in monitoring project progress and ensuring that all site activities were carried out according to the approved schedule and project plan.
My key task was to prepare daily progress reports (DPR) and weekly progress reports (WPR). These reports included detailed updates of site activities such as completed work, ongoing tasks, delays, and planned activities for upcoming days or weeks. I collected data from site engineers, supervisors, and project teams to ensure that the reports were accurate and updated on time. I also maintained proper documentation for all progress reports to support project tracking and decision-making.
I worked with planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. I updated project schedules based on real-time site progress and ensured that all activities were correctly entered into the system. I monitored the sequence of activities, checked dependencies, and ensured that project timelines were maintained. I also supported the planning team in identifying delays and updating revised schedules when required.
In addition to scheduling work, I was also involved in quantity take-off activities. I reviewed project drawings and site information to calculate required quantities for different construction works. This helped in better planning of materials, manpower, and resources. I supported the site team by providing quantity details whenever needed for execution and planning purposes.
I regularly monitored site activities and compared them with the planned schedule. This helped in identifying any delays or deviations from the plan. When delays were observed, I assisted in analyzing the reasons and supported the planning team in suggesting corrective actions. I also helped in preparing recovery plans to bring the project back on track whenever required.
I worked closely with engineers, supervisors, and project managers on a daily basis. I attended site meetings and collected updates regarding work progress, challenges, and requirements. I ensured smooth communication between the site team and planning department so that information was shared properly and quickly.
I was also responsible for maintaining proper project records, reports, and documentation. I ensured that all planning data, progress reports, and schedule updates were stored in an organized manner. This helped in easy tracking, reporting, and future reference.
Through this role, I gained strong experience in project planning, scheduling, reporting, and site coordination. I developed skills in using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, improving my ability to manage schedules and track progress effectively. My work helped improve reporting accuracy, better coordination between teams, and ensured that the project followed the planned timeline in a structured and organized manner.
