• To lead the development of strategies and annual plans of NHIF, Sudan
• Organize, oversee and monitor strategies, plans and policies in concern to the organizational vision and massage.

• To Plan, establish, manage, monitors and performs activities related to preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical supplies for National Health Insurance Fund in Sudan (NHIF), working with technical team and approved vendors, in compliance with NHIF internal procedures and requirements.
• Defining objectives of the supply sections, according to the in align with national supply strategy and making sure that objectives of the different divisions and units at all level in the same momentum.
• Responsible for insuring secured cold chain supply for insulin, vaccines, and Bio-products and other medical consumables to secure right and good bio products to all states.
• Accountable for creating good pharmaceutical and medical supply practice with good quality products, to ensure that key defined milestones can be achieved.

• Manages all finance activities with pharmaceutical team including Request for proposal for bidding and vendor selection, consolidate order request and prove purchase orders and invoice approval Supports internal/external inspections and audits.
• Creates reviews and updates the demand plans based on strategic elements/study forecasts.
• Lead coordinating functional and links between the all aligned departments in the supply system and other departments (Health facilities Finance, Transport, Warehouse …).
• Coaches other team members on specific topics (e.g. packaging design, finance etc.) Establishes contact network with Company approved contractors and vendors Primary liaison with contractors for external packaging and distribution campaigns to establishes and manages supply related timelines with the team.
• To prepare biding companies two times annually to provide and deliver medicines to all states of Sudan
• Responsible from Medicine Need Assessment and forecasting for National Health Insurance Sudan,
• To quantify and adjust budget assigned against quotation cost.
• Responsible to ship the right medicines at right quantity for the right state at the right time with optimum prices
• To fellow report of payments to pharmaceutical companies and other partners.
• Responsible for assessing and quantify medicines for health care facilities.
• Managing the supply departments at West Darfur State, this include need assessment process including estimation, manage local procurement process, supervising Warehouse for medicines and other medical consumables and distributions.
• To insure better availability of essential medicines and medical consumables and other commodities to the health centers & remote health post.
• Responsible to maintain safety stock of medicines and other medical logistics to reserve better availability throughout the time.
• Assess the performance of each department and the work capacity of different sections, and propose interventions for improvement where necessary.
• Top keep less expired medicines at central store by manage timely effective supply chain, with accurate need assessment
NHIF provide Medicine package to HI clients at the direct and contracted medicine outlets, this package reviewed every two years, Drug and Therapeutic Committee is the board that design and develop medicine policies and package.
Developing, adapting, or adopting clinical guidelines for the health facilities provides services to NHIF clients selecting cost-effective and safe medicines (hospital/health facilities’ drug formulary); implementing and evaluating strategies to improve medicine use (including drug use evaluation, and liaison with antibiotic and infection control committees); providing on-going staff education (training and printed materials); controlling access to staff by the pharmaceutical industry with its promotional activities; monitoring and taking action to prevent adverse drug reactions and medication errors; providing advice about other drug management issues, such as quality and expenditure Updating National Health Insurance Medicines List every two years
