Contract Close Out:
- supporting Asset Affairs department and project managers to ensure timely closure of the completed contracts.
- preparing Contract Settlement and/or Final Variation Order
- achieving KPIs set forth for the tasks for contract settlements, by promptly reviewing the Final BOQ and final measurement sheets
- drafting final accounting statements, contract settlement checklists and forms, obtaining necessary approvals, etc.
Claims:
- reviewing, verifying the contractual entitlements of the claims and issuing responses in timely manner.
- requesting the additional supporting documents and recommending the contractor’s claims to Assets Affairs Director and Engineering Services Department (ESD). Dispute Resolution:
- review the dispute, try to settle the dispute through negotiations.
- providing recommendation and clarifications to the management regarding the contract settlement, suspension of works and contract termination procedures.
- identify, record and maintain risk register and closely monitor risks associated to the projects - refer the dispute to legal department for their advice.

I was leading the site commercial and contract teams and managing two PWA projects simultaneously with regards to contractual and commercial aspects:
- drafting all contractual correspondences related to the projects.
- maintaining variation and claims tracker, advising the higher management regarding the forecasted cashflow, potential risks and claim opportunities.
- review the interim payment applications, identify potential areas to maximize the monthly valuations, to ensure positive cashflows of the project and accordingly, advise QSs to include the pertinent items
- identify and record risks associated to the projects and propose suitable solutions for the identified risks.
- preparing detailed contractual claims, responding, negotiating with the Employer’s representatives.
- reviewing subcontract agreements and making modifications.
- developing logs and templates for variations, payment applications and cost-value reconciliation, etc.
- advising the higher management time-to-time regarding the adverse impacts due to the changes in contractual conditions and requirements and Law and Legislation.
- handling conflicts and involve in dispute resolution process

• Review the contract documents, scope of works, drawings and specification and understand the project and contract provisions.
• Identify the claims, read and understand contemporary reports, formulate supporting documents and prepare Prolongation Cost and Insurance claims.
• Notify the Variations to the client, assess and submit the Variation Orders by getting internal approval.
• Closely monitor the project, review the contractual documents for renewal of Bonds and Guarantees - request Accounts Department to increase/ decrease the bonds whenever needed.
• Preparation delay notices and assist Contracts Manager to prepare Disruption claims.
• Handling site material requisition, control and assessment.
• Preparation of monthly payment applications drafts and invoices and evaluation of subcontractors’ invoices and certify payments.
• Developing and preparing job budget by activity based on the contract documents, calculating progress quantities in weekly and monthly to monitor the budget and to prepare cost to complete.
• Remeasure the project in every three months interval to revise the budget - submit new rates for the new depths/ utilities/ items to the client.
• Liaising with various project teams with regards to commercial activities.

• Review, verify, and recommends contractor and consultant payment application and payment certificate.
• Preparation of BOQ and preparation of list of technical queries for client /consultant clarification.

• Sourcing, negotiating, finalizing & approving the Subcontractors and preparing sub-contract documents.
• Evaluation of subcontractors’ invoices and certify payments.

• Coordinates with other department to discuss and finalize all relevant commercial and contractual issues
• Conducts regular commercial meetings with consultants for each project to discuss various commercial and contractual issues that arises.
• Maintains contract registers and ensures that all relevant trade licence, insurances, bonds, etc are in place and valid throughout the contract duration.

 Preparation of interim and final application for payments.
 Preparation of valuations for interim and final certificates for subcontractors.
 Notify the variations and delays to the Client/Consultant.
 Variation orders, preparation of variation accounts and valuation of variation.
 Evaluation, negotiation and Preparation of change orders.
 Preparation of monthly cost reports required by the Consultant.
 Submit detailed calculations with specifications for purchasing materials to the site.
 Include item description, calculations, classifications, specs, drawing references, constructability remark as per project requirement.
 Maintain material on site records (MOS) and Monthly checking.
 Coordinate with the project’s other QS and Estimators - all disciplines - in relation to the scope of work requirements.
 Preparing reports as required.
 Work very close with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.
 Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners and the general workforce involved in the project.
