Provide hardware, software and network support to the entire Police institutions in the country. Handling highly sensitive areas like airports, VVVIPs, Central Command Office etc. Assembling, trouble shooting, repairing, configuring, performance tuning and maintaning PCs, Servers, Printers and other IT devices.
Working as a Tivoli Storage Manager Administrator. I have been doing the following tasks:
•Configuration & Administration of IBM Tivoli storage Manager Servers in a Clustered Envt.
•Managing Multiple TSM Sites
•TSM database and Recovery log management like defining additional volumes and mirroring of TSM data base and recovery log.
•Troubleshooting and monitoring hardware errors of drives and redefining drives in TSM server to access new drives.
•Identifying Tape volume errors, restore data from offshore volume and remove from storage pool and checkout the volume from library
•Experience with IBM TS3310 and TS3200 Tape Libraries
•Defining Policy domain based on Client requirements with required retention periods.
•Planning TSM backups with required retention periods and defining the policy domains and management class accordingly, binding of client's data to required management class to store the data in predefined storage pools like Disk, sequential storage pools and copy data from primary storage pools to copy storage pool for offsite.
•Planning TSM job schedules to take periodic backups of production and Test servers.
•Defining administrative schedules for administrative operations in TSM Server for Controlling Migration process, backup storage pools, TSM DB backup, volhist backup, devconfig backup, absolute old db backups, expire inventory process.
•Configuration Open file support and Image backup in windows server.
•Restoring of one server data to other servers thorough TSM
•Installation and configuration of Storage agent for LAN free backup.
•Monitoring of Performance and backup timings
•Providing technical support to other teams to TSM backup and restore operation like UNIX team, Windows team, Data base teams.
•Planning and Configuration of DATABASE and RECOVERY LOGs, Storage Pools, Trouble Shooting.
•Configuring Policy Domains, Policy sets, Management Classes, Copy groups. And maintain Retention Policies depending on the client configurations and requests
•Implementation of TDP for domino and SQL servers.
•Defining, Writing backup scripts, Managing & trouble shooting Image backups through VMware Consolidated Backup and using vStorage API.
Assembling, trouble shooting, repairing, configuring, performance tuning and maintaning PCs, Servers, Printers and other IT devices. Network designing, cabling, and configuring of networking devices
