Provide administrative support to Offshore Operation divisions and to participate when necessary in the preparation of documents.
Participates in mechanical maintenance and repair of all engines and equipment on assigned rig covering Diesel Engines, Air compressors, Pumps, Draw works, Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) and Blow Out Preventer (BOP) includes servicing, diagnosing faults, carrying out necessary repairs.
Site supervision of all Air conditioning and Firefighting works that ensures all site activities are conducted under controlled conditions as per shop drawings, specification and work plan.
Liaises with Maintenance Engineer in planning and scheduling preventive maintenance program. Implements and follows up on preventive maintenance program.
Ensure that daily and weekly routine maintenance are performed by checking daily logs and identifies anomalous situations, such as excessive use of lube oil, coolant or fuel, initiates or undertakes investigation to establish and remedy the cause.
Liaises and coordinates with electrical maintenance personnel in respect of mechanical involvement in mechanical maintenance and repair.
Participates in rig move activities through planning, preparation, critical equipment operation (raising mast), dismantling and packing machinery, proper rig up and stack up new location.
Observing rig safety procedures, practicing good housekeeping, checking and maintaining life saving equipment.
Overhaul and fabricate machinery in often hard to reach location.
Inspect all completed repairs to ensure compliance with industry regulation.
Take necessary safety precautions when working in areas with severe working conditions
Carefully study schematics to ensure that all repairs are performed correctly.
Work hoisting and lifting devices to place heavy parts into place.
Maintain an updated inventory of all available replacement parts.
Perform routine inspection and control tasks to ensure efficiency of operations.
Coordinate efforts with drillers to ensure adherence to design parameters.
Work as a part of team for larger repair and maintenance projects.
Ensure that all necessary parts and supplies are transported to the rig site.
Preparation of Daily Drilling Reports and filling IADC sheets daily.
Arranging all the handling tools & all other requirements for forecast operations.
Ensure prompt action in all emergency cases by carrying out assigned task in accordance with company procedures.
Checking Mechanical and Electrical layout to ensure that they are followed correctly in site.
Monitoring and participating in operations in assigned sections including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements.
Review material or equipment’s technical submittals for specification compliance.
Site meeting with clients and consultants.
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
Preparation of monthly reports for projects.
Quantity and cost estimation for the project and time scheduling for projects.
