Offshore campaign is a term referring to various activities such as maintenance and project to be execute at offshore facilities. The activity owners will share their cost and chartering a workbarge / workboat to execute their scopes at HUC stage. My role as Execution Engineer is to lead the workbarge and construction crew at offshore.

Specific Task
• Execute offshore HUC workbarge campaign safely, timely and within budget.
• Execute all assigned Maintenance Work Order and Brownfield Project by using workbarge or workboat.
• Manage CAT3 construction crew, tools, equipment and consumables readiness.
• Ensure workbarge condition is meeting contractual and marine requirement.
• Arrange Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) coaching, HAZID session, daily huddle, Pre-Mob induction to crew and review construction crew qualification to meet Shell requirements.
• Review Daily Progress Report (DPR), Daily Status Report (DSR) and Payment Certificate (PC) for technical and commercial issues with contractor.
• Involve in the schedule planning of workbarge, supply vessel (MRB), fast crew boat (FCB) and Anchor Handling Tug (AHT).
• Determine parking location of workbarge and anchor pattern; coordinating with Operation and others vessel to avoid anchor clashing.
• Prepare Site Specific Procedure (SSP) and SIMOP document as part of Emergency procedure prior to workbarge arrival at location.
• Challenge and review the workpack and jobcard.

Achievement
• Completed 2016 offshore campaign at F6 Complex with 32, 210Mhr and headline size of approx. USD5m.
• Completed 2017 offshore campaign at F6 Complex with 73, 817Mhr and headline size of approx. USD6m.
• Completed 2018 piping tie-in SK408 (Greenfield) to F6 complex with 22, 234Mhr and Zero LTI.
• Completed 2018 Turnaround at F6 2018 on schedule without any deferment. Completed all WO inside SPAR list and headline size of approx. USD11m.
• Completed 2018 Turnaround at Jintan Drilling platform with 21, 459Mhr and Zero LTI. Completed all WO inside SPAR list and headline size of approx. USD2m.

Achievement
Facilities Improvement Project (FIP)
FIP is a term used by Shell Upstream for projects to upgrade and enhance existing offshore platform. It is considered as Minor Capital Brownfield project with budget normally less than USD10mil. . FIP projects are normally smaller in capital but very complex in execution as hydrocarbon and other toxic gases are exist in the plant and only have limited Shutdown window. The engineering will need to be detail and accurate as any mistake will incurred cost exponentially to the project.
• Upgrading of Mechanical Seal Flush Plan for Condensate Booster Pumps P3300/10/20 for the E11 Production Platform A (E11P-A).
• Replacement of Condensate pumps P-420 A/B, pumps P375 A/B, Nitrogen Generator as well as Diesel Fire Water Pump P-680 for the E11 Production Platform A (E11P-A).
• Boat landing elevation due to subsidence for M1 Living Quarters (M1PQ-A), Jintan Production platform (JTP-A), St Joseph Jacket A and F as well as F23 Drilling A (F23DP-A) and Production Platform (F23P-A).
• Auto Sampler System replacement for Gas & Condensate Metering system across M3 Production Platform A (M3P-A), B11 Production Platform A (B11P-A) and M1 Production platform A (M1P-A).
• Fuel Gas System Modifications, 6MT crane installation as well as K2400/2500 Compressor Cooler replacement in South Furious.
• Installation of allocation metering for St Joseph Production Platform A (SJP-A) - North Sabah.
• Rejuvenation and System Upgrade of the Labuan Crude Oil Terminal (LCOT) Diesel Fire Water Pump.
• Redundant equipment removal for the Bintulu Integrated Facility (BIF).
• Commissioning Closed Drain system for E11 P-A/Q-A/R-A/DP-A.
• Densitometer upgrading for Jintan Production Platform A (JTP-A).
• Dry gas seal upgrading for South Furious Compressor Platform A (SFK-A) K2400 compressor.
• Upgrade of Emergency Power Generation G-170 for E11 Q-A.
• Replacement of existing Glycol Reboilers R370/380 for F6 P-A.

Wells Revisit Drilling Campaign
Revisit project is a term use when drilling rig must come back to existing platform to drill additional well. Some minor modification will have to be done at the Topside facility to accept the incoming rig.
• South Furious Revisit 6 drilling campaign as well as Wellhead SF08 workover under North Sabah PSC.
• E11, F13E and F13W Desander installation under the Central Luconia PSC.

Technical Integrity Restoration (TIR)
TIR is accumulation of various project in Shell Malaysia Upstream to repair and restore the integrity of offshore platform. The objective was to repair various aging offshore platform.
• Installation of flame arrestor at IC engine on K-2500 for South Furious Compressor Platform A (SFK-A) as well as Labuan Crude Oil Terminal (LCOT)
• Jib Crane upgrades for the South Furious Production Platform A (SFP-A).

Project Engineer, Marine (Hull) at MISC Berhad

• Performed Detail Feasibility Study (DFS), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detail engineering and Construction support for Hull and Marine projects.
• Prepared and participated in producing Basis of Design (BOD), HAZID / HAZOP, cost estimation and Level 1 planning.
• Performed tendering activities, prepare ITB, technical / commercial evaluations during procurement stages and support contract preparation.
• Supported in Project budgetary preparation and monitor Value of Work Done (VOWD).
• Performed engineering studies for Marine system such as LNG and Boil-off Gas (BOG) handling equipment capacity, BOG rates calculation, Fire water capacity, Fresh water capacity, Life boat and life raft capacity, Ballast and Condensate system, auxiliary system such as N2, Heating and Bilges.
• Reviewed engineering documents prepared by shipyards and ensure compliance to project contract.

Achievement
• PETRONAS Floating LNG (PFLNG 1) - EPCIC
The PFLNG project is one of the capital projects for PETRONAS. The idea had originally come-up during a workshop on how to explore marginal gas field in Malaysian water. In early 2008, a Detail Feasibility Study (DFS) had been conducted by PETRONAS, MISC, BWO and Mustang on the FLNG concept. Various concept had been studied and finally in 2010, the project had proceeded to conduct Front End Engineering Design (FEED), a study done by JV partnership between Technip and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). In 2012, the project had been granted FID and proceed to EPC staged.
I had participated in this project from 2008 until 2012; contributed to DFS, FEED, Tendering, Contract negotiation and Detail design.

• PETRONAS Lekas LNG Regasification Project at Sungai Udang Melaka - conversion of LNG Carrier to become LNG Floating Storage Unit (FSU)
LEKAS project was a project belong to PETRONAS GAS BERHAD. The scope was to construct an island jetty about 2km away from shore at Sungai Udang, Melaka. The jetty is equipped with LNG Regasification facilities and pipeline to onshore. My scope was to convert two LNG tanker to become LNG Floating Storage Unit (FSU). The FSUs are permanently moored at the island jetty and are used to stored LNG belong to PETRONAS.
The conversion job for the LNG tanker were done simultaneously at 2 shipyards which were MMHE @ Johor and Keppel Shipyard @ Singapore. The detail engineering was done by MODEC in Japan.

• New crude oil tanker shipbuilding - Aframax 107, 500DWT Crude Oil Tanker for American Eagle Tanker (AET).
The crude oil tanker was constructed at Tsuneishi Shipyard in Japan. I was involved in Construction and Commissioning stage. I also involved in all key activities such as Keel Laying, Hull Launching and Sea Trial.

• Repair, Life Extension & Conversion of Bunga Mas V - Formerly container ship Bunga Mas V was converted to become Royal Malaysian Navy Auxiliary Ship. The ship undergoes conversion and life extension in MMHE. The ship later was tasked to combat piracy in Somalia and Gulf of Aden. I had involved during detail design and construction at MMHE.
