To significantly improve plant equipment performance and reliability through the management and coordination of all engineering activities.
To define, implement and manage any engineering strategy for area of control in order to meet the business, Safety, Environmental, Financial and Operational objectives at minimum cost and in the safest manner.
• Manage, coordinate and control all aspects of engineering in order to meet agreed departmental objectives.
• Having to scrutinize technical civil/mechanical problems and follow corrective procedures to fix the problem and avoid recurrence.
• Carrying out staff appraisals.
• Ensure the safe and effective introduction of new plant, equipment, capital expenditure and process improvement technologies.
• Prepared monthly reports (cost tracking & work progress) for managers.
• Involved in the design of new plant, machines and equipment, whilst at the same time taking account of cost, availability of materials, strength and maintenance requirements.
• Supervising the smooth operation of any plant upgrade/refurbishment & new equipment installation.
